Nice location, visit this place because had cravings for burgers and before was in neighboring place which was closed at that time. So I ordered a burger with french fries plus ice tea and the price was double than first burger places (around 4K colones) I wouldn’t write a review is not the meat in that burger.. This was my absolute favorite spot we ate in PV and all of Costa Rica. It is a quaint restaurant where locals frequent. My husband and I shared their Bistec Patacones. There was plenty to share as a light midday snack between the two of us. I got the flor de Jamaica (had lots of ginger) which was the best I've ever had. And he got their hiel (aka agua de sapo) which translated to ale in English but is not a beer. It's Panela with water, limes and ginger. It was amazing! Authentic Caribbean cuisine in Puerto Viejo. Our server was very friendly and helpful. She was bi-lingual which helped us to place our order. The drinks were tasty. Our food came out fairly quickly, and everything had good flavor. They serve you sizable portions. This food had more spice than typical Costa Rican cuisine.
