If I could give this gem of a family restaurant more stars, I would!! The ambiance, the view of the Volcano & the friendly & welcoming service made me & my Husband come back here twice during our 3 day visit! Both times we had lunch & I ordered the house burger. I wish I could have ordered their other food, but I simply had no time. This place made me feel like I was at a family members home. Mr. Alex & his Son (Passionate about his food creations & Menus) & Wife (AMAZING cook btw), who operate the business, were the most kind individuals. They also shared local tips for where to hangout in the town! If you’re hungry and want some great recommendations and friendly smiles with great conversation, please stop by and get to know the family that will be more than happy to serve and whip up DELICIOUS home cooked flavored meals! Muchas gracias por los recuerdos y la comida! PURA VIDA!!🇨🇷🤙🏽 Nathan &...

Good for the soul. The food is authentic and delicious. This is a small family owned restaurant and Alex is one of the most appreciative and social hosts we have encountered. He loved sharing his culture and his food. I made the mistake of buying coffee at the new cafe across the street while I waited on my family to get ready for breakfast. I should have waited for the restaurant’s authentic coffee brew method. We got the natural juices and each member of my family tried a different flavor and they were all fresh fruit made and came out frozen. They were so good. They served them with pride and assurances that they were going to be amazing. I highly recommend taking the time to support this yummy low key authentic...

I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. The food was spectacular and Alex and his wife were so kind. I woke up early the first day due to jet lag and went looking for a cup of coffee. Man did he deliver. He made me a pour over in the traditional Costa Rican way. Then there was the food. I had a fresh pineapple juice and the traditional breakfast. So so so good. The flavors were incredible and the homemade hot sauce he gave us to try was like nothing I had ever tasted before and I consider myself a hot sauce connoisseur. Alex was quick to offer travel tips and teach us about the area. Have fun...
