Raices Restaurante — Restaurant in Monteverde

Horrible service and food. I ordered a smoothie and got a juice, I ordered mushroom and cheese tortillas. Instead I received an onion and peppers mix (as seen in the pics). When I asked for a smoothie I received a fourth of a cup of ice to go with my juice. Then when I asked for more mushrooms I was yelled at by the server who exploded on me in front of guests and said you don’t want to pay fine don’t pay.

DO NOT EAT HERE!! I was the only person in the restaurant and ordered multiple items including a coffee, a salad and granola bar, because I ordered the salad in a to go box they said I could not eat inside the restaurant and had to eat outside even though my coffee was in a mug. additionally they did not have any disposable forks or spoons so I had to use their metal forks outside the restaurant and return it to them when I was done. Dishes to avoid: Pasta with Pesto, Chimichurri Steak. The pasta was less cooked than al dente (thick and tough) and the pesto sauce was very garlick-y, oily, and not salty. My partner had the chimichurri steak. He said the steak was good, but the mashed potatoes were cold and stiff, while the other veggies were cold and extremely garlick-y as well.
