My family went here a few times when we were brand new in Costa Rica when we moved here earlier this year. We really liked the food, atmosphere and the servers were very nice. A 15 year old teenage boy came to our table to greet us and ask how we were enjoying the food. He was very professional and knowledgeable about the coffee process and super friendly. Apparently, his parents own the restaurant so it's his family's business. You can tell he took pride in his family's restaurant. That was nice to see.
The reason for the three stars instead of five is because one day when we went there to eat on our third or fourth visit, I was so excited about buying their coffee to take home because it was so tasty that I asked the really nice waiter to help me which he did. He was so patient explaining their product selection. I appreciated that. He went a couple of times to ask maybe the manager for help with a few questions about their dark coffee vs espresso because I wanted to buy the same coffee they served me and I needed help with their products. Well I just happened to look at the waiter conversating about my questions as I could hear them talking and the manager slumped his shoulders and rolled his eyes upwards like saying omg why does she have so many questions as if I was a bother. I did end up buying the coffee, but that totally turned me off from ever returning back there. Maybe he was busy and my questions was interrupting his flow but I was a paying customer. Everytime we went there, we spent at least $50 to $80 weekly on either breakfast or lunch alone not counting extra treats to go.
Oh well....I found an even better and friendlier place to buy my coffee in Heredia that doesn't mind my questions. "BRITT CAFÉ"!! They welcome questions and have great customer service.
Why wouldn't a business want to help a customer with questions about their selections....don't you want to sell...
Read morePeople are always so friendly and attentive that you feel like home. The place is always very clean and has great music. The bathroom is always very clean and comfortable. You will see a lot of birds and squirrels near by too. They won't get close to your sitting area so don't need to worry.
Food is next level. This is my favorite restaurant by far. Good portions, cheap and the dish presentation is flawless. My husband and I have tried every single dish on the menu and it's always so difficult to decide because of how good everything is. My compliments to the chef!
The place is also pet friendly and they will take very good care of you and your pet.
The only thing is that there are some flies because of the house they...
Read morePlace is okay nothing out of the ordinary, I felt it was really overpriced came in with my daughter and wife and paid a grand total of 30$ for a breakfast meal. We ordered 2 coffees (latte and cappuccino) a hot chocolate for the little one, a traditional breakfast (standard pinto), brownie and a Pantufla. It was okay but really not worth the money the coffee was not as strong as I would imagine a standard latte is too much milk. The Capuccino was okay, my traditional breakfast was a too salty. The brownie and hot chocolate was surprisingly good just a tad bit sweet but my daughter loved it. The plantufla was also okay but not worth the price. Will probably not be coming here again for the...
