Jardín tamarindo food truck park — Restaurant in Tamarindo

Stop by a few times in our brief stay in Tamarindo and we wanted to make sure we got a good variety in while we could. We tried the Poke, the churros, and the Mexican trucks, but the easy standout for me was the Mexican truck. We got a chicken quesadilla and a beef burrito which were both delicious and ridiculously good portions for a reasonable price. The woman behind the truck was incredibly sweet and helpful too. Poke truck was tasty, but it was definitely pretty slow service considering it should have just been putting a bowl together! Churros were nice and crispy, and getting the stuffed ones is a nice little extra surprise and definitely wished we got the ice cream with them considering how hot it was when we stayed! Getting to sit outside after just getting back from the beach was also a nice touch after a long day, and they have plenty of cocktail and beer selections to choose from while...

Writing this review across multiple vendors - experience really depended on where you ordered food from.

Fish & Cheeses: Pizza was great - very well cooked pizza with good ingredients and a proper base, good value for money. Also service with a smile and the guys were just really nice.

Tacos/burritos place - Terrible. Would not recommend. Service with no smiles - grumpy and not helpful. We ordered 3 x taco orders and a burrito. It took 1 hour to arrive and saw other peoples arriving sooner who ordered after! After asking where it was twice there were 0 apologies or cares given… and then when it came they were the worst tacos we’d ever had. The tacos were more like Arepas, really thick and heavy… not a taco at all. I make fresh tacos at home and mine slap, all of us ate the middle and left the actual taco. Annoying after waiting for an hour also. Waste of ££....

Thoughts 💭 I can’t remember the last time I had such a successful food tour at a food hall. Wow.

Arepas venezolanas - pabellon (shred beef, cheese, plantain, black beans)

These were our favourite and surprisingly so as I thought it would of been the worse but they were so delicious 🤤

Poke Hawaiians - this poke bowl was awesome, lacked avocado, BUT it was all forgiven because the ingredients were all chilled at the same temperature and so fresh.

Sangucheria - philly cheese (tenderloin, caramelised onions, cheese). The most delicious buttery baguette and everything in between was delicious.

Crepe- the only average thing we ate. The toppings are a given that it tasted nice but the crepe itself was a little chewy.
