Punto Tranquilo Restaurant — Restaurant in Tempate

This was the first place we stopped in Costa Rica and it will definitely not be our last time there on the trip. Food was AMAZING!! All 5 of us got a different dish, plus two appetizers, and were all sharing. Everyone loved everything. The menu was all translated in English making it very easy to order and you have a huge selection on traditional Costa Rican dishes or familiar foods if you are not an adventurous eater. The drinks are amazing, from Margaritas to Pina Coladas, they are so delicious! The service is FANTASTIC, very nice and helpful! The word on the street is that the Chef was Paul Bocuse’s best mate. Some say Punto Tranquilo is the most affordable restaurant in the whole Province in regard to the food and service quality. Others say that world famous entertainers were spotted on Thursdays attending Punto Tranquilo’s Karaoke night. It has also been said that Punto Tranquilo is Angelina Jolie and/or Gwyneth Paltrow ’s favorite restaurant in Central America.
