Dining at Riva Restaurant on Cres Island was truly an unforgettable experience. The seafood was incredibly fresh, likely caught the same day, and prepared to perfection. I started with the tuna carpaccio, which was delicate and full of flavor, setting the tone for an exceptional meal. The Kvarner calamari was the best I've ever had—perfectly tender and cooked just right. And the scampi? Absolutely out of this world! Kvarner Bay is known for its scampi, but Riva takes it to another level. Quelle déception ce restaurant ! Alors que sa note de 4.4 laissait pourtant présager une belle soirée au magnifique port de Cres ! Comme quoi la note n'est pas une garantie..Je n'ai pas l'habitude de mettre des avis qui plus est négatif mais là, ça le mérite. Le service a été déplorable du début à la fin : 3h pour un plat dont 40 minutes pour avoir la note. On a tous laissé tomber pour le dessert y compris les enfants. Les prix n'étaient pas affichés sur une ardoise avant de s'asseoir et nous avons découverts des prix très élevés en ouvrant la carte pour les poissons annoncés qui plus est au kilo. Combien vous allez payer ? Mystère et boules de gomme...c'est la surprise ! Les plats n'avaient rien d'extraordinaire en comparaison du super restaurant que nous avions fait la veille à Valun. Le patron nous a conseillé un vin blanc qui s'apparentait à un vin de table (qu'il nous a fait goûter avant et j'avoue ne pas avoir osé lui refuser par politesse). Bref, un restaurant tout sauf plaisir sue nous français aimont tant et que je rangerai dans la catégorie attrape-touriste où la priorité ne semble pas être le service rendu au client mais le nombre de couverts.
