Guest House Neho — Hotel in Grad Cres

Clean , pleasant rooms with few frills but good showers, comfortable beds and effective, quiet aircon. We had a 'superior' room which offered a roomy balcony which gave a pleaseant place to sit and a useful one to dry beachwear. ||||Guest house offers only breakfast - no bar or restaurant - but the breakfast buffet is very good with a real mix of sweets, fruits and savouries. No real communal areas in the hotel as most of it (dining room and courtyard) is closed off during times when guest are not checking in or having breakfas.||||Location is very good. In a very quite sidestreet and a 1 minute walk to the catamaran pier and 5 minutes to the main restaurant/shopping area. ||||Cres town is a very enjoyable place with low-key beaches, multiple restaurants and bars and a lovely place to stroll around and explore. We had three nights and wish we could have had more. ||||As an aside - highly recommend a visit to the village of Beli (€25 taxi each way) for its network of walks, lovely beach and. especially, the Griffon Vulture rescue centre, which was great. We had one of the smaller rooms (all that available) although small was clean, modern and had a good bathroom with walk in shower. Guesthouse very close to the old town restaurant area which was handy as there was a storm that evening and so had to dash back after the meal.||When we went down to breakfast we were greeted by who we assume was the owner and offered cappuccinos which he made freshly for each guest. There was a good selection on the buffet of fruits, yoghurts, eggs, cheese eggs and of course more cappuccino if you wanted. ||Guesthouse had a car parking area up the road operated by an electronic swipe card.||Enjoyable short stay and we would certainly consider staying there again or recommending to others going...

As we were there for the 4th times and have direct contact with the owner, he told me the price on WhatsApp promising I get 20% discount from his standard prices (I have the screenshots) and when I asked the bill he refused to keep his word because "only dead men can't do mistakes". We left this guest house one day before our planned checkout as for that money I would have chose another place. |The quality of this B&B has dramatically decreased in the last 3 years starting from paint of the walls, rough towels, variety of food at breakfast. I ABSOLUTELY don't recommend...
