🍽️ Restaurant Veseljak – A Culinary Gem in Sukošan 🌊
Every time I visit Sukošan, Restaurant Veseljak is at the very top of my list and for good reason. I’ve been coming here for years, and it has never once disappointed. From the moment you step in, the staff makes you feel truly welcome with their warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at home, even if it’s your first visit.
The food is consistently outstanding, no matter what you order. Over the years, I’ve tried a variety of dishes, seabass filet cooked to perfection, pasta pljukanci with prawns and zucchini bursting with fresh flavors, and a selection of crisp, refreshing salads. Every single plate is prepared with care, using high-quality local ingredients, and the flavors are authentic, balanced, and simply delicious. You can tell that the kitchen here takes pride in what they do.
What makes Veseljak even more special is the atmosphere, relaxed yet vibrant, perfect for enjoying a slow dinner by the coast. And of course, no meal is complete without their traditional rakija at the end, a thoughtful touch that makes the dining experience feel personal and truly Croatian.
For me, Veseljak is not just a restaurant, it’s a tradition. If you are in Sukošan, this is an absolute must-visit dining spot. Whether you’re a seafood lover, a pasta fan, or just looking for a welcoming place with great food and service, Veseljak delivers every...
Read moreWe are an indian couple. We stayed in Sukosan, during our trip to Croatia.
As part of our trip we visited Zagreb, Zadar, Split and choose Sukosan as an intermediate stop to camp.
We were pleasently suprised to find this delightfull simple village and on top to find this restuarant.
Despite not reciving not such a welcoming attitude from the native people and finding expensive, not worth food we were pleasantly surpirsed to find this gem of a restuarant.
The food quantity is amazing, the waiters where super nice, the ambiance was good.
Just to recall a specific insidence, i had ordered coffee but i ran out of time to collect it, as i had to catch arriva bus opposite to the restuarant. Our bus was late and the waiter took notice of me waiting and took effort to bring me and my wife a cup of coffee. I forgot to ask his name but i wish all the best...
Read moreWe’ve been here 3 times already as it’s close by to a hotel. The food is average, but good. The selection in the menu is really good, prices are moderate: mixed salad 2,7-3,5€, Greek salad 6€, shrimps risotto 13-14€, tuna steak 16€, Turkey steak 11€, beef steak 16€. I liked the beef steak and tuna steak. Tuna was a huge portion, therefore it was a take away for me for another day. Risotto is quite big, and with honest amount of scampi/seafood. However be prepared to wait for food for some time, at least 20-25 minutes, maybe more for dinner as there is more people. However, the stuff is quite welcoming and helpful. But minus one star for long waiting...
