I recently dined at "The Garden" restaurant and I can't help but feel violated and watched throughout my entire meal. The waitstaff seemed to have an unhealthy obsession with staring at me, making me feel like I was under constant surveillance. It was an absolutely uncomfortable experience that ruined what could have been a decent meal.
While the food itself was alright, it's hard to enjoy your meal when you have waiters and waitresses gawking at you like you're an exhibit in a zoo. I understand that good service is important, but there's a limit to how attentive you can be without crossing into creepiness. Respect for privacy is vital!
I strongly urge the management of "The Garden" to address this issue immediately. Your staff needs proper training on customer boundaries and appropriate behavior. Seriously, it's not rocket science!
It's a shame that such a promising dining experience was overshadowed by the discomfort and invasion of privacy I felt. "The Garden" needs to step up its game and provide a more pleasant atmosphere for customers. Take this feedback seriously and take action!
To sum it up, unless you enjoy feeling like a lab rat, I would think twice before dining at "The Garden" restaurant. Fix this issue, regain your customers' trust, and start treating your patrons with the respect...
Read moreHad the chance to visit this lovely restaurant last week. The interior was absolutely gorgeous—really well thought out—and the atmosphere was calm and welcoming. We were greeted warmly, which made a good first impression.
Food-wise, I had the tuna tartare and the prosciutto pizza. Both were quite nice. The tartare, for my taste, had a bit too much avocado, and I wasn’t quite sure about the tobiko on top—it felt a bit out of place and cheapened the look of the dish, even though the flavour overall was decent.
One thing that let the experience down a bit was the service. After placing our order, we waited quite a while for our drinks. Then, they brought out the two dishes we ordered—plus one we hadn’t. When we asked about the drinks, the response was quite rude: something along the lines of, “Did you even order drinks?” Not exactly the tone you’d expect. Anyway, they did bring the drinks shortly after, exactly what we’d asked for—just missed them, I suppose.
At the end of the meal, when it was time to pay, I mentioned that the service had been a bit messy and slow, and that I wouldn’t be leaving a tip this time—perhaps next time if things improve. Unfortunately, the waiter didn’t take that very well and just ignored us afterwards, which...
Read moreThe food in "The Garden" was very tasty, that is the reason why I give them 3 stars. However, they have a long way to go to qualify for a fine dining establishment. The waiters, although very nice and polite, need to fine-tune their etiquette (e. g. my husband was seated first, the chair was not pulled out in front of me, the server did not understand our question). Secondly, the menus need to be cleaned/changed. I was disgusted by opening a greasy and filthy menu with food bits on several pages- it really put me off. There is a general problem with hygiene: the fork was dirty and there were grease spots on the table cloth. Thirdly, the food needs to be served on nice plates. There were purely decorative plates put on the table that were cleared away as soon as sat down. Then food was served on chipped ordinary plates, which was a big disappointment for me. We don't want to eat from plates that look worse than what we use at home! The bread was served in a basket with a handle that is falling apart. To conclude, the restaurant has a potential to be very nice if they would invest in new cutlery, make sure the hygiene is maintained and train their waiters...
