There was also ice cream and various drinks, which we did not try. We liked the amount of sweetness in the cakes. The interesting thing was that, unlike the vast majority of pastry shops in Kyrenia, white cream was used in the cakes. Of course, yellow cream was also used in some of the layers. In my opinion, the taste and quality of Akpinar's products are similar to Cafe Mine and a little more than the Avanti and Piscotti pastry shops. Considering the quality we saw here, if this pastry shop was located in a more central location in Kyrenia instead of being around a square, for example, instead of Deniz Plaza, it would definitely experience much more customers and sales. Attended on Saturday night after passing this restaurant the day before. If I'm honest, I was expecting a lot more & was very disappointed! Upon arrival it was very very busy, this could have been due to the fact it was Saturday night & maybe full of locals?! Or it may always be this busy! We got a table easily enough but everything was very hectic! The staff were clearly rushed off their feet & always appeared pre-occupied with other things when taking orders! One of the best pastries store in Cyprus, I had the vanilla cake with chocolate frosting and it was amazing their chocolate cake is also a steal and their icecream is just a experience every icecream lovers should try I have the oreo cookies icecream and a caramel icecream with caramel sauce as topping and it was heavenly.
