THE TASTE — Local services in Girne Belediyesi

PLEASE READ BEFORE COMING HERE!!! I’m not one to complain and I never write bad reviews for anywhere, but never in my life have I experienced a more disappointing and horrible meal! To start with our waiter was extremely moody and we could clearly tell he didn't even want to be there and was interrupting us when we was trying to ask about the menu and left us with no description about anything. When starters came, our hummus was meant to come with bread but it didn’t, so we asked for some and never received. We asked for a glass of water and didn’t receive any for the whole duration of the meal. My partner asked for a fresh plate after his starter for his main and was forced to keep the same plate. THE MOST SHOCKING PART was we ordered a sharing steak between us both which was told to us to come with 3 different side dishes… we didn’t revive any of these side dishes and sat and ate dry meat on its own with nothing else. The table next to us had ordered a bottle of red and was left to open up their own bottle of wine as the waiter had left it there and forgotten about them. I then was expected to pay full price for my meal when I didn’t even get half of it! When I had tried explaining to the manager about what had happened and that I wasn’t happy to pay full price for half a meal, he was stood there above me for 10 minutes arguing, and trying to explain to me what had happened and was trying to get himself out of changing my bill with an attitude. THERE IS NEVER AN EXCUSE A CUSTOMER SHOULDN’T RECIVE WHAT THEY ARE PAYING FOR!! I paid full price; £100, for a meal that I didn’t even receive (it’s not about the money at all, I’m always happy to pay wherever I go) They made date night for me and my partner a disaster and left us both leaving upset...

Called them many times noone picked the call. Then called the hotel and asked them whether we need a reservation since we were coming from a different town three times they said no you don't. Didn't know much about the place wanted to try it out. Staff was very rude when we explained them the hotel gave us this information and we almost got kicked out of the place. They weren't helpful at all and treated us like we were peasants. We were just two so they managed to gave us the table they use for reservation as a counter. Anyway we were still trying to be optimistic and we ordered. Had the worst steak ever with full of fat. NO TASTE and the portions were incredibly little compared to the prices. They were supposed to be a fancy restaurant and we understand that but both the quality and quantity was really bad. Service was bad, human resources management was so bad and also the food. It is a very expensive restaurant considering the quality of food and the service. The steaks served with no garnish and sauce and well done instead of medium as we ordered, and the bread came with no olive oil or butter, the burger served with potato chips similar to McDonald's.
