We returned to Bellapais Gardens for the first weeks of April, after having to cancel our previous trip due to the pandemic. It has not lost any of its charm, customer service or appeal. We were welcomed as old friends and encouraged to ta have a glass of wine, sit and relax whilst we recovered from the journey. The room was just lovely and the view from the upstairs balcony superb. For the duration of our holiday, nothing was ever too much trouble. Food at the hotel is exceptionally good the breakfasts - taken in the restaurant with the most superb view down to Kyrenia Harbour. The Bellapais Gardens continues to value tradition and personal service above all and has none of the 'corporate anonymity' of the ever increasing all inclusive hotels that now are appearing all over North Cyprus. The poolside is wonderful set against the dramatic backdrop of the Abbey and the gardens are beautiful, tended with care daily. The staff are friendly, professional and attentive. We had a deluxe double room with balcony and sea view. The location directly below the abbey allows a great view from the garden area / pool to the monastery and on the other side to the sea. The whole complex is very lovingly maintained and the water in the pool is incredibly soft. The location is great for excursions in the whole area of Northern Cyprus. We had booked two nights and spontaneously extended our stay by one day. One of the most beautiful resorts we have ever been to. We really enjoyed our time out in this little piece of "Eden" on earth and recharged our batteries.
Restaurant:
The breakfast buffet is very extensive, egg dishes are all freshly prepared, the cappuchino is incredible. The dinner leaves nothing to be desired, I have rarely eaten such good meat prepared so well.
The whole staff is very friendly and attentive. The owner summed it all up in one sentence: This is a peacefull place. You can't say it...
Read moreStaying at Bellapais Gardens was honestly one of the most relaxing experiences I’ve had. The hotel is stunning, so peaceful and calm, tucked away in the mountains with views that are out of this world. You can see the Bellapais Monastery right in front of you and the sea stretching out in the distance, and waking up to that every morning felt magical. Everything was spotless, the hygiene was one of the best I’ve come across, which made the whole stay feel even more comfortable. The restaurant was just as special, offering proper fine dining with food that was truly unforgettable. Every dish was full of flavour, beautifully cooked and presented, and I honestly don’t think words do it justice. The service was amazing too, the staff were attentive and friendly, and it made the whole evening feel like such a treat. It’s the kind of place where you leave already planning...
