If you want to try real Turkish Cypriot cuisine then you must try Paşa Lahmacun. Don't let the out of date decor put you off, this is proper locals food exactly how it was before North Cyprus became commercialised - a real slice of the past! Lahmacun eateries were once common roadside establishments that were often someone's house with a few tables and chairs outside - now you'll be hard pushed to find somewhere making and selling them so it was great to find a real traditional piece of TRNC in Bellapais. The owner is very friendly and the food is made to order rather than the tat you're served at an out and out tourist cafe/restaurant. The restaurant itself could maybe do with a bit of updating, but if you don't mind sitting on plastic garden chairs you certainly won't find better.
