Despite this tavern being in a small town when we arrived the restaurant and car park was full. It had Germans, Brits and some locals as well as a few customers that were obviously regulars. We got sat down at the rear and it had a lovely feel to the place with vine leaves overhead with the checked tablecloths and wooden chairs. We ordered some white wine and checked the menu. My wife had the chicken kebab with chips and I had garlic prawns which came with chips and rice. With a side portion of village salad and pitta bread it was a full table. The chicken was really tasty with the homemade chips being the best that we have had so far here. My garlic prawns were also amazing with a spectacular garlic sauce which was perfect for dunking the chips in. The host was also very friendly as well as the cats (seems to be standard with all restaurants here in Cyprus). To top it all off we were served portion of blueberry cheesecake and some melon (didnt appear on the bill). All in all somewhere that you must visit if you're ever in the area with prices that are ridiculously cheap and a free ouzo...

Read moreI had some food in this restaurant multiple times! I think i is a very genuine honest and great place. If you are after Greek/Cypriot food, then this place is the place to visit. The chefs and the owner are from Cyprus, and this is how they food tastes. We usually go for a Meze, as I love to get small dishes for quite a long time, it never gets boring. Every Tuesday during the summer month there is a greek traditional themed evening which the British expats seem to love as well. The people there completely integrate any person into the party, it does not matter from what country you are. I can definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a...
