I’ve loved this concept for years, but I feel I have to leave an honest review this time - one that I’ll be more than happy to change when I visit again. Unfortunately, every one of the four dishes I ordered had something wrong with it.
I ordered baked figs with gorgonzola and balsamic, but received figs with a tiny piece of camembert and just a drop of balsamic-completely lacking in flavor. I ordered popcorn chicken bites and got meatballs made of something that definitely didn’t taste like chicken - nothing like the dish I used to get before. Anyway it was ok. The brandy butter garlic prawns had neither brandy nor any taste of butter or garlic – just four small frozen shrimp floating in defrosting water. Finally, I ordered the goat cheese and spinach pizzetta but got a hard flatbread with feta cheese and a single basil leaf.
It’s not about the prices – it’s about honesty. If an ingredient isn’t available, the customer should be informed instead of being served cheaper substitutes.
I ate everything because, although disappointing, it wasn’t inedible. I chose not to mention it to the waitress, as it felt awkward to complain - it wasn’t her fault, but everything I received was different from what I had ordered.
I truly hope my next visit will restore my faith in this place. Looking forward to changing my review then. Their wine selection is truly outstanding. You can always find something special...
Read moreHaving dined at Vinaria in Kiti multiple times, I can confidently say it offers a delightful and unique gastronomic experience in Cyprus. The concept is reminiscent of a tapas restaurant you might find in Spain, but Vinaria surprises with an international twist. Each dish is not only deliciously seasoned but is also presented with meticulous attention to detail, making it a feast for both the palate and the eyes.
The wine selection further elevates the experience. Whether you're in the mood for a local Cypriot wine or an international selection, Vinaria has got you covered. Their extensive wine list complements the cuisine perfectly.
Adding to the charm is the commendable service. The staff is attentive and genuinely friendly, ensuring that diners feel welcomed and well taken care of.
There's only a minor drawback to note: if you choose to sit outdoors, you'll be dining beside a road which might not be everyone's cup of tea. Additionally, while the quality of the food and wine is undeniable, some might find the pricing on the steeper side.
However, these slight inconveniences don't overshadow the overall excellence of Vinaria. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends looking for a memorable evening filled with exquisite wines and...
Read moreWe have been coming here since the restaurant opened and have found the service and food excellent. But this last Friday evening we feel the service have slipped , we found that the waiting service was very slow and the staff were very inattentive and we were left quite a while and had to go and ask for service. Another complaint I have is that when ordering from the drinks menu I went for a pint as described in the menu of Biera Moretti draught , but when the drinks arrived the beer was in a half pint glass instead of a full pint glass. I queried this and was told it was only served in this size glass , as it was on draught I asked if I could have a pint but was told this is how it comes. So why have it in your menu as half or a pint ? But don't sell a pint. We will go again but hope the...
