Kanati — Restaurant in Paralimni

Nice local looking place and had read many good reviews and all that I can say is these people must be used to some very average/poor UK Food, Menu states 5 hour cooked Kleftico, all I can say is that it must have been warmed up in microwave as not as tender as I have had elsewhere and outer parts of outer meat felt a little rubbery. Wife’s lamb chops same problem rather dry but meat tougher so drowned it in mint sauce. Plus side, best mash potatoes ever and rice tasted really nice, maitre de was very pleasant! We came to Paralimni for a family wedding and all the local restaurants are all tourist restaurants (burgers, curry, enchiladas etc) and after asking we were recommended to try Kanati

A nice restaurant just behind the church but really popular and serving up local cuisine and with really friendly staff who speak excellent English

The Village lamb and the marinated chicken are to die for and are unique to Kanati plus they also serve Cypriot/Greek coffee 😁 which in itself is amazing as nobody else serves real coffee around here

I had a great overall expereince at Kanarti Tavern this evening with my father. We were greeted my Maria who instantly made us feel welcomed. She was very informative about the food and was able to help my dad who is gluten intollerant with picking the right dish for his dietary requirements. We had the meat platter and the food was delicious.They also did a special desert for my dad due to his dietary requirements.
