Making a reservation - can be done online, the staff on phone was helpful and nice. Waiter was nice, but we waited for drinks for some time even though the restaurant wasn't full (came here around 2 pm for lunch) We ordered steaks and they both came a bit cold, which you wouldn't expect for steak for 700 CZK.. otherwise they were tasty. Ordering more drinks was quite the challenge. I think my husband would order more, but at one point we had empty glasses and plates on our table for some time. I ordered chocolate fondant. It came surprisingly quickly, but was cold. Event the fruit was cold inside :( I told the waiter and he just said that the kitchen was busy. He didn't even bother to apologize. As it was mentioned and something what we didn't like - the restaurant doesn't accept cards and points to the Euronet ATM (which is a rip off on fees). So it makes you feel they are making money on having this ATM right at the entrance. If you want to withdraw money,go to ATM close to castle entrance (it's a bank's ATM - ČSOB). It's a five min walk.
So the experience was good but for almost 3.000 czk we would expect more. The card issue is the reason why we won't come back.
The staff...

BACKGROUND: I have visited this restaurant 15+ times, but the last three visits (I visit every year in Autumn) convinced me that they do not seem to care that much anymore. Price/Value ratio is in my opinion poor.
REASONING: Staff is professional, but the quality of food did go down noticeably, when compared to 5 - 6 years ago. The house wines they serve are not acceptable at such a facility and on the top of everything you cannot pay with a card.
CONCLUSION: Due to worsening food and wine quality, lack of customer focus (cash only policy) this place is no longer a must visit in Lednice. I would probably recommend exploring...
Read moreI had a meal at Restaurant U Tlustých and it was really good! The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. I tried their excellent svíčková, a traditional dish. The meat was tender and the sauce was delicious. Along with the svíčková, I also enjoyed their tasty dumplings and creamy sauce. It's important to note that the restaurant only accepts cash payments, so make sure to have enough money with you. Despite this, the prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. The portion size was satisfying, and I left the restaurant feeling full and happy. If you're looking for a place to enjoy delicious Czech cuisine, Restaurant U Tlustých is a...
