We came from Dubai to celebrate the birthday of a nephew (9yo) and brother in-law (over 35), we were 6 adults and 2 kids. Good location except for the sewage smell, nice sunny day but umbrellas in wrong location so we got super tan, food was really good (starters tartare x 1 and 2 soups. Mains were 5 bbq burgers and fries, 2 pastas seafood, 1 kids chicken and fries, some beers, orange juices and pomelo non-alcoholic beers). First step; our host after several minutes of been seated had to stand up and approach a waitress and ask for menu and water for the table, the beverages promptly served, then our order was taken, starters came quickly but from there everything went downhill, our mains (burgers, chicken and pasta) took well over 1 hour and half….what else can I say!? In the meantime, no service staff came to warn us or apologize for the extreme delay, neither to rush the kids food so adults can “wait and relax”. We took it easy I would say - way to easy. The host (bday man) stood up and told the waitress that has been way too long and kids were hungry, same waitress went kitchen and came back to give us an estimated time for food to arrive, mains arrived after sometime, and they were really good. At one point (around the end of our meal) the only waiter (young guy) approached our table and told us that “there are no mistakes whatsoever, the 1 hour and a half waiting it is pretty standard for a busy restaurant and they are at no fault at all, that we should kind of notice the busy time”. Oh and I asked same waiter for another beer which didn’t arrive for a well 10 minutes and the next waitress asked me if I wanted another one….🤦🏻♂️. This means that this super profesional waiter forgot to pass the beer order after telling us that waiting for long it is the way business is done, and without an apology. For someone, which is me, who worked around the world in 5 stars hotels for food and beverage such as The Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons, and also worked for Michelin star restaurants (Dubai, Barcelona, Canada, US, London, Hong Kong, Chile) for almost 20 years. I can say with some authority that the response given by the waiter it is totally unacceptable! Telling us that over 1 hour waiting for burgers and pasta it is standard for busy restaurant, I can tell you that it is NOT standard anywhere except this restaurant, not sending the kids food right away also not standard - at least you should offer the parents if they want to ease the kids by sending food right away - that’s standard! ZERO anticipation of guests needs, ZERO apologies. I can easily mention 1001 things that this restaurant misses, but the most important it is always the ATTITUDE. No apologies, no anticipation, no communication, no hospitality! Guests are going to restaurants for the experience, and not for the food or drinks only. And the service staff it is key in this, chefs can put all the effort behind but if the service SUCKS than the food and the effort tastes bad, not fair for anyone including your own colleagues. Train your staff on how to approach your guests and connect with them, even when busy as hell, no guest will be upset at you if you try and do your best, while smiling and being understanding, but also anticipate by doing simple things such as offering more water on a really hot day or rushing the kids food….simple things! Waiter change your attitude, your job will get easier - trust me! Serving with one hand behind your back and bending, like at very pompous French restaurant doesn’t make you better at your job, what makes you the best is to listen your guests and give the warmest hospitality.
Everyone has hard days at work….I remember my waiter time (long ago) when doing over 200 - 300 covers on 2 seatings a night and running like a chicken, but always smiling and trying to have fun but also staying profesional while serving heads of state, royalty and super VIP people. Your guests can see that and they will reciprocate with kindness when things go wrong (like taking well over 1 hour to serve 5 burgers, 2 pastas...

Dekuji za odpoved. Ano - prekrm jsem castecne snedl, ostatne nevim, jak jinak bych zjistil jak chutna. Manzelka jej nesnedla vubec. Obsluze jsme vyslovne sdelili, ze jidlo nam nechutnalo. Mate-li pocit, ze predkrm je takto vporadku a chutny, budiz.

Negativni recenze obvykle nepisi. Tentokrat nicmene ucinim vyjimku. Po dlouhe dobe jsme sli s manzelkou na veceri a moc jsme se tesili. V Meetnici jsme byli mnohokrat a mysleli jsme si, ze jdeme tzv. "na jistotu". Omyl byl pravdou.
Jako predkrm jsme si dali krevety. To, co nam obsluha prinesla nas zarazilo. Predkrm totiz spocival v 3ks krevet s majonezou servirovanych na rozpulenem listovem salatu. Nedochucene, silene, zjevne pouzili majonezu co maji do burgeru. Ja jsem cast pokrmu snedl, manzelka pouze ochutnala. Obsluze jsme sdelili, ze jidlo jednak neodpovida tomu, co je v jidelnim listku a soucasne, ze chutove je naprosto nechutne.
Pri placeni jsem si nechtel jeste vice kazit vecer, takze jsem se s oblsuhou nechtel hadat nad tim, ze na nasem uctu byly i ony nepozivatelne prekrmy. OK - moje chyba, nemel jsem to platit. Nicmene, je pro me nepredstavitelne, ze ma obsluha tu troufalost si tato jidla nauctovat a jeste to doprovazet kecy o tom, jak to priste budou delat jinak a ze kuchari zkousi kazdy den neco jineho. To delejte, zkousejte, ale uz beze me.
Soucasne mam za to, ze cekaci doba na hlavni jidla v podobe testovin a risotta v delce 55 min. neni uplne adekvatni (jidla byla chutove OK, ale take zadny zazrak) a silne doporucuji pravidelne cistit pivni trubky - pivo melo neprijemnou...
