Our favorite place to eat and spend time every time we visit Prague! We go there at least once a day haha Lovely, smiling waitresses always willing to help. Very alerted, asking if you need anything else as soon as you finish your drink or meal ;)) They treat tourists like their own people, giving us the same menu with the same prices (which is not a case in some other restaurants). Great prices, especially before 3 pm. The best Czech beer- Gambrinus (available only in limited number of restaurants in Prague). From soft drinks I recommend Malinovka. The food itself is the best I have ever had. Also the portions are enormous. The vibe the inside of the restaurant gives (animals heads hooked up the wall and a TV with sports being played) is very unique and ironically... Cozy. One doesn't feel like leaving...

I have been to this before with a group but this review is of the time I just went with my boyfriend. The main title is in Czech, except for the ingredients, which are in English, so if you don’t speak much of the language you’re in luck.
I really did not expect that grilled cheese was going to taste so good! No offence to restaurants here in general, but the way they word their menus don’t make the dishes sound appetising. I just wish you got a slightly bigger portion.
The prices are okay - but that’s only because I don’t know how much is expensive, the average meal is about 190 and then you’ve got drinks and if you want, a dessert.
But I was pleasantly surprised and can say we will be...
Hloubětín is first mentioned in 1207, when it belonged to the Teutonic Knights. From 1335 it belonged to the Crusaders with the Red Star. And the first mention of the Hloubětín pub is connected with them. The right to tap beer and wine in Hloubětín was probably granted to the Crusaders by Wenceslas I in 1235. In 1350, Charles IV confirmed this right during his visit to Hloubětín. During the Thirty Years' War, in autumn of 1648, the pub was burned down and only cellars remained. Today's Baroque Classicist-style coaching inn was built in 1711 by the lords of Hlubno. Their coat of arms is located on a residential building in the yard. In the 18th century, Emperor Charles VI was housed here with his daughter Maria Theresa and her...
