GEMOEBY Restaurace — Restaurant in Prague

Terrible place. Depressing atmosphere. The cuisine is worse than in any similar restaurant. Moreover, many establishments are located in the center, and their prices are better than here. We came as a group. Everyone ordered a drink and a dish. At first, the waiter didn't bring one of the drinks. The ordered tea, priced at almost 100 czk, turned out to be the cheapest packaged one. The restaurant was even ashamed to show the tea brand, so the label on the package was torn off. Then they brought us one of the dishes. The dish itself is in the appetizer section, and the kitchen probably thought it was a snack for the company. But it supposed to be the dish for one of the guest. The waiter didn't even bothered to clarify when each dish should be served. As a result, one dish was brought, and the rest were brought about an hour later. One of the dishes was simply forgotten. And, of course, the person didn't want to wait another hour. Moreover, besides us, only a few tables were occupied. So the waiting time was not justified by anything. I ordered chkmeruli. It is one of my favorite dishes. But specifically, this dish was disgusting. It was the worst chkmeruli in my life. It was cheapest cream with some fat. Completely watery and without a rich taste. In the end, we envied a friend who wasn't served a dish at all. As he escaped the taste of this terrible food and...

We ordered delivery from GEMOEBY because we were feeling lazy but also wanted to feel extremely cultured. Mission accomplished.

The dumplings (khinkali, for those in the know) were so good that for a brief moment I considered moving to Georgia, buying a small farm, and living exclusively off GEMOEBY dumplings. They were juicy, perfectly seasoned, and somehow still piping hot when they arrived — which honestly feels like a bigger miracle than most historical ones.

The Schaschlik? Pure flavor bombs on a stick. Tender meat, smoky goodness, spices that made me question every life choice that led me to previously eat boring kebabs elsewhere. Even our dog stared at us in betrayal for not sharing.

If this is what GEMOEBY can do through a delivery bag, I’m scared (in a good way) to see what would happen if we actually sat in their restaurant. Might need to bring stretchy pants.

Okay, where should I start... First of all, I need to say that it was truly the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. Our evening began with a tea bag already placed in the mug, and the tea's label was cut off, as if we couldn't taste the ara tea without seeing the label. The best part was the price – 80 CZK for ara tea. Don't you think that this is a bit too much? Now, you might wonder about the food – it was terrible, I must tell you. I ordered chkmeruli, and it was just plain chicken, cream, and oil. There was so much grease in the dish that I could scoop it up with a spoon. The dishes my friends chose weren't much better. The prices were like those in the city center, but the quality was at such a low level that I seriously considered reporting them for a food safety inspection.
