Hotel Shato Gesson — Hotel in Prague

We stayed in the hotel with my wife and little daughter for a week in August 2022. The hotel exceeded my expectations from Three stars and the price paid. A very stylish interior with beautiful paintings in the room and the lobby, a lot of nice cozy details, during our stay at the reception an amazing map and decor appeared. Absolute cleanness! Very comfortable mattresses and pillows, this is one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in hotels. Since the hotel is located in a quiet green area (at the same time 5 minutes to the metro and 15 to the center) - in the morning we woke up to the singing of birds, I already forgot how nice it is! It was important to us that we could use the washing machine with drying. Our daughter was absolutely happy in the children's corner, and we could enjoy breakfast in peace - with hot dishes, delicious muesli, many types of sausages and cheeses, fruits, cool juice, lots of pastries, nice music and lots of flowers. In the evenings we spent time in the courtyard of the hotel, where there is a cozy gazebo with chairs and a table. It was also possible to arrange a grill party, but we did not know about it in advance. The girls at the reception are very attentive, advised and helped in everything. In general, we had such a comfortable feeling that we will definitely return again! The biggest failure of our vacation was this hotel. I travel often and have stayed in many hotels, but I have never encountered anything like this before. First of all, the breakfast is a complete mockery. The yogurt is served poured into bowls. That means they bring out bowls to the serving area with yogurt already poured in them. I wonder where the yogurt is poured from. The person who brings the bowl of yogurt touches the inside of the bowl with their hands. The melted cheese is of poor quality, packaged pastries, oranges cut in half—no scrambled eggs for breakfast? It’s a complete joke considering the price we paid. Parking. On Booking.com, it is falsely stated that parking is included, making you believe the hotel has its own parking. This is not true. Parking is free on the street, unrelated to the hotel, wherever you can find a spot—if you find one. Fraud. When we arrived to check in, the receptionist asked me to hand over my phone with the Booking app open because I had made the reservation through Booking. I thought they needed something, like a registration number. Later, I noticed an email from Booking saying that the reservation had been canceled and that the property had not charged a cancellation fee.

So, the receptionist canceled the reservation from my app without asking for my permission.
