GO[O]D FOOD — Restaurant in Prague

I'm glad that my basic Czech skills allow me to visit places where ordering in English isn't an option.

This establishment was okay—nothing particularly special, but decent for a quick dinner or lunch.

I ordered the soup of the day, Madarský guláš, and a small salad.

The soup was quite nice, a blend of vegetables that I enjoyed, even though I usually prefer creamy soups.

However, I have to note that it contained barely any chicken—just one small piece.

The guláš was okay, though the meat was inconsistent; some pieces were perfectly tender, while others were quite chewy.

The salad looked just like the photo—a simple mix of bell peppers, olives, a few tomatoes, and small pieces of feta cheese.

On the positive side, the prices are reasonable. However, the food itself was just average—not bad, but nothing...

I ordered two traditional Czech dishes, steak with fries and spaghetti. Traditional meals were just fine, nothing tasty and special, but steak and spaghetti were absolutely horrible. Steak was dry and without flavour, fries were burned and spaghetti was hard like if it wasn't boiled properly. Also, it was really hard to speak with the woman at the cash register. Škoda, že nejde dát záporné hodnocení... i jedna hvězda je až příliš. Jídlo naprosto otřesné, nesrovnatelné ani se školní jídelnou, vyloženě odporné, k pití jen obarvená voda (měl to být Lipton) a neochotná obsluha. Ani v krajní nouzi, jako poslední možnost (kdyby všude jinde bylo zavřeno) nedoporučuji. Raději se všichni vyhněte velkým obloukem. Nic horšího, za tyhle peníze, jsem snad v životě nejedl, naprostý odpad. Jídlo muselo na pultě strávit alespoň několik dní. Už ilustrační fotografie nás měli odradit, bohužel se tomu tak nestalo a navždy toho budu litovat. Nejhůře utrácených 270 Kč za...
