Ingolf's Kaffebar — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

We used to love this place, and it still has a wonderful down to earth atmosphere - but now one that stands in contrast to it's pricing and food. Lunch options were always a bit pricey but used to include amazing salads with fair portions. Now, they charge 115 kr for a single slice of rye bread with celery and hazelnut topping. This place felt like being in Hackney, London!!! I even by coincidence met a guy I used to teach Danish to in Hackney!! It seems Amager is the South [saf] London of Copenhagen 😀

And they make coffee like in London (read creamy, hot and tasty).

Their small plates (boiled egg, rye bread and butter) are almost little pieces of art work.
