Tribeca Beer & Pizzalab — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

The two stars are for the good pizza. The missing three stars are for the bad policy and service.

I ordered a pizza and a salad, then this exchange took place: Waitress: Do you want something to drink? Me: No, thank you. Waitress: Not even water? Me: Tap water could be nice.

I paid and then a moment later I realized that the price wasn't right. When I inquired about it, I was told that the extra amount was for "table cover." I politely replied that I'm asking just because I want to understand, but what is "table cover"? The waitress told me it was for the water. Just to make sure, I asked if I would have paid that extra amount if I hadn't ordered water. No, the extra amount was indeed for the water.

I've lived in this country for 18 years and I've never been charged for tap water, yet the waitress insisted that this was normal in Denmark. Gaslighting much?

If charging for tap water is Tribeca's policy, then shame on Tribeca, and of course I understand that it's not the waitress's fault. But I do also feel that she mislead me; I mean it can't be too hard from our initial exchange to connect two and two together and realize that I didn't want to pay for anything aside from the pizza and salad.

I let it go because :

1. Paying for the water isn't going to make me bankrupt
2. I didn't want to get into a petty argument.

But as a matter of principle, all of this is wrong, and that's why I felt compelled to leave...

The biggest problem with Tribeca is that now everything is via an app that requires your personal information, before you can order. Should you make the mistake of thinking that you can order at the counter, guess again. The staff will redirect you to this app, unfortunately. We paid 58kr. for 33cl of standard pilsner, which is extraordinarily expensive I would say. The pizzas are good, and their Sunday offer where every pizza is 100kr is nice. Unfortunately the whole experience and ambience is ruined by the app, so I wouldn't recommend going here, unless you want to spend a lot of time on your phone. This review would otherwise be 4 stars, if not for the app, but it seriously compromises the experience. We as customers can only show our support with our wallets, and I wouldn't recommend showing this app any...

UPDATE: Now you’re threatening to “involve the police” because your establishment sucks!? Go ahead!!!! Do it! And, involving identity politics into my review!? Get outta here! I would now give a negative star review if I could. Your restaurant is a stain on Denmark. Will never return. 👋🏻

HORRIBLE!!!!! I never write bad reviews, but the attitude on the dark haired chick at the front was unbelievable. She was so freaking RUDE! I was there with my disabled father. I’d never, ever, step foot in here again. She should be fired immediately, and if somehow she’s the owner, then that’s even more of a disgrace. The pizza was what whatever, nothing special. We took it to go because I couldn’t stand to be there with that nasty lady around. Here’s a pic of her. Just ridiculous, and so mean. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND...
