ARD bakery is a hidden treasure in the outskirts of Copenhagen. After a run at the beautiful nearby Damhusengen lake, I happened to walk by and decided to stop for a post-run cappuccino and pastry. I asked the cashier for a recommendation, and she told me the Tebirkes is the most traditional, but the bakery is mostly known for its cinnamon rolls. I tried the latter, and it indeed might have been the best one I'd ever had. It was so good that I decided to go back to the cash desk and order a sourdough bread for lunch. But with the inflation on the Copenhagen bakery market these past 3-5 years and prices overall soaring, I think they might have squeezed the lemon a bit too much.
