Venus Punjab Palace — Restaurant in Frederiksberg Municipality

Some of the best Indian take-away food I've had in Copenhagen.

We discovered the place through a DownTown offer and though Finsensvej is a 10 minute drive away from our home and we have many Indian restaurants closer by, we'll definitely order at Venus Punjab Palace next time we're in the mood for Indian food.

Seeing the pizzas, burgers and pasta on the menu did worry me some. When there are too many different cuisines represented on the menu, the food often disappoints. This was all proven wrong here, but I'm certain that what they excel at here is the Indian dishes.

We had Butter Chicken, Chicken Korma, papadum and garlic naan, and everything was just so fresh and tasty. All the right flavours and spices. Chicken cooked to perfection. The papadums were light and super crispy. The naan was thicker (and bigger) that what we're used to, but soft, fresh, and,very tasty.

The portions are smaller than what you get in other places, but the quality made it worth the price. My only complaint is that we ate too much because it was all...

Just ate the most delicious pizza i've got for many years! I ordered a number 7 "Mama Mia" with meatsauce, pepperoni, garlic and onion this evening.
