I was told by my Chinese friend that this is the new place to go to get really good Chinese food, especially the Peking duck.
I would say I was not disappointment. They are using a special imported duck that is from Ireland, it has been air dried, so it's special"designed" to make a good crispy Peking duck. We all have different taste in thing, normally here in West, fat dripping meat/Skin is not rated as best cuts of meat, but Peking duck is meant to be eaten in a thin pancake, with a fat piece of duck skin and sliced cucumber and scallions and a slightly sweet and salty Peking duck sauce. I am not sure it'll be liked by the westerners but all my westerner friends loved it.
For the rest of menu, you really need to know what to order. Most food is freshly prepared and tasty, the chef is from northern part of China, so the food is at a salty end, but if you eat it with lots of rice, then it doesn't really matter.
Price wise, it could be expensive if you are few people and want to have different kind of dishes. 6 person is the best number to share a nice meal for about 200-300 KR each.
Dish to recommend: Peking duck of course, do you know beside the traditional pancake settings, you can either get a soup from what is left of the duck, or have it stir fried with salt and Sichuan pepper? So really you are getting 2 dishes out of one dish. Eggplant dish, it's a bit salty but great with rice. Spicy dish I'd recommend chili chicken and Chili oil Fish. Sweet dish could be the caramelized sweet potato. Very fun and tasty dish. Their home made dumpling is also nice.
I have been there 4 times in total now had my moms birthday dinner there as well. My mom is normally difficult to please but she actually had a good meal. and is going again with my colleague on Tuesday. We all look forward to it again. I will update with...
Read moreWe were there last night and had mixed feelings afterwards. Food is good and authentic. The restaurant is specialized in traditional northeastern Chinese cuisine and the spicy Sichuan cuisine. I would definitely go for dishes served with rice instead of the cooked noodle. The meat in the noodle does smell quite old... Parking is easy and cheap around the area. Price is fare and acceptable considering the location. Restaurant design and decoration is clean, bright, simple, but not cozy. I do feel cold sometimes as the main entrance door is kept open all the time. All the service stuff seem to be new trainees. They always avoid eye contacts and will not reach out. New customers have to learn that there is a button on the table where you can press in order to get the service. We sat in our table and waited for 30 mins to find this out ;) The stuff lost one of the dishes in the order and did not find it out until we ask about it. By the way, when we check out, we were charged on a wrong table. So be careful and read the invoice details if you are...
Read moreI am writing this to express my disappointment with the dining experience I had at your restaurant. As a customer, I had high expectations for your service and food quality, but unfortunately, those expectations were not met.
Firstly, I ordered two dishes, and one of them was excessively salty. This left me extremely disappointed because the excessive amount of salt completely masked the original flavors of the dish, making the entire dining experience unbearable.
To make matters worse, the second dish took at least twenty minutes to arrive after the first dish was served. The waiting time was excessively long, especially considering that there should have been a more reasonable interval between the two dishes. This delay left me feeling extremely dissatisfied and raised doubts about the efficiency of...
