2takt Café & Brasserie — Restaurant in Frederikshavn Municipality

Eating at this place was not a nice experience. I have some allergies so before I ordered I made sure to ask whether the dish would be gluten and milk free. The waitress said yes. She brought out the food and I asked again just to be sure that it did not contain gluten or milk. She said it would be fine and didn't contain any gluten or milk. I start eating and after I started to eat it she comes out and says well actually, it does contain both milk and gluten but just small amounts!! Neither her or the kitchen seem to have any clue about allergies, even though I had told her that I can get sick. She does not provide any solutions but rather I ask instead of alternatives. The rest of the food gets cold and I have to ask her to heat it up. Such extremely poor service and poor knowledge both by the waitress and...

Food: I ordered their Grilled Ribeye with sauce bearnaise, salad and french fries. I cannot say anything bad because everything was perfect! Medium rare steak, which is tasty with a little bit of saltiness. Pair it with their french fries which does not easily lose its crunchiness. The Jim's burger was also perfect. I took it away as I am already full with my first meal. Even if i ate it dinner time without using microwave to reheat, it still tastes the same. For drinks I ordered organic lemonade which is their best seller and then there's Iced Coffee as well.

Service: They were very nice and accommodating. Speaks english which was great so we can understand each other. They serve their food fast too!

Toilet: Only 1 gender neutral comfort room.

If you want to treat yourself to a brunch out of the ordinary, you should visit Cafe & Brasserie 2takt. The place is located in the middle of the pedestrian street in Frederikshavn approx. 1 hour's drive north of Aalborg.

It is possible to sit inside in the cozy rooms or outside with a view of the pedestrian street. At Café 2takt, you can create your own brunch and choose 3, 5 or 7 dishes, which are all served at the same time.

There is more care for the details and the taste experience than anywhere else in Denmark where I have eaten brunch. 2takt is absolutely also my wife's favorite place for a delicious brunch.

Afterwards, you can go for a pleasant stroll along the Frederikshavn pedestrian street or take a drive to the Palm Beach...
