What a beautiful restaurant. We had a lovely chat both with the owner and the lady who served us. The owner recommended a local hilltop with a beautiful church which had a panoramic view the area. It was glorious. The lady who served us introduced the dishes we ordered and happily provided detailed answers to our questions of the origins of the food. The food was lovely. I had the fish cakes and that came with a lovely local ryebread that was dark and full of chewy grains. Delicious! My wife had a "snack" plate of 3 Danish cheeses. The servings were substantial and we both enjoyed our lunch. I can see why do many others have given this restaurant such great reviews. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

Hvor er den bedste kaffe i Lønstrup? Spurgte vi en butiksejere i byen. Og vi fik svaret " I skulle prøve Lønstrup Madhus 5 min op ad vejen, de har den bedste kaffe". Lækker udvalgt økologisk, helt plain filterkaffe med enten mælk eller fløde, sat op på pænt lille bord til høflig selvbetjening ad libitum. Perfekt! Crumble med årstidens lokale rabarber var også top lækkert til. Mulighed for både varm og kold mad, kager og kaffe. Kan det blive bedre. Vi blev helt misundeligr på de fiskefrikadeller, vi så en anden gæst bestilte, da vi skulle gå. Men vi kunne ikke få mere ned. Super venlig betjening. De havde helt styr på råvarer, kokkerering og service. Når os to garnglade kvinder fra Glienke Design skal til forhandlermøde hos Isager næste år, så kommer vi igen og oplever Vesterhavet og den lækre perle som Lønstrups Madhus er! Der ser lidt tomt ud på billederne, men det var fordi vi alle sad udenfor i det dejlige vejr.

På hjemmesiden skriver de: "I Lønstrup Madhus finder du et uformelt spiseri med håndlavet mad" - og det passer. De glemmer at skrive, at maden er super lækker, veltillavet og bl.a. med lokale grøntsager fra Markliv i Vrå. Service er i top og værten var både smilende og vi fik præsenteret retterne med smil og en kvik bemærkning. Ud over de faste retter, serverer de dagens vegetar og bistroret - så vi er spændte på, hvad det er næste gang vi kommer forbi.

Johannes made the most awesome menu with several wonderful dishes for our double 40th birthday party. The food brings together the best from modern nordic cuisine with touches of mediterranean kitchens. Fresh produce and great tastes. Johannes is a great chef and host.
