Halifax — Restaurant in Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality

Edit: We came back and gave them a second chance. This time the service was much better, we didn't wait forever on our food, and since I was now aware of the aioli they put on all burgers as a default (I found it this time in tiny print under your choice of burger bread), I could order mine without it. The burger was super delicious, sweet potato fries are fine (minus for having to pay extra for any kind of condiments), and the milkshake is a treat.

The food is really good, with a great selection of burgers, toppings and side dishes. The milkshakes are also really good. I've been to a different Halifax restaurant before, which was great, but sadly we did not have a good experience in this location due to poor service. First we waited 25 minutes for someone to come and take our order, and that was after I had gone up to the desk and asked for some assistance, while watching customers who arrived after us get serviced first. Not a great start. We then waited another 25 minutes for our food to arrive. I had to send mine back because it had aioli on which hadn't been announced on the burger selection menu. The waitress then told me that it says on the menu (somewhere, so read the entire thing carefully, I guess) that all their burgers are served with aioli, but at least they took care of that for me, and I finally got a burger I could eat after an additional ten minutes. In most places, when customers experience great delays and neglect from waiters, some discount on the meal is offered, or a free drink. We weren't offered any compensation for our poor service, which was the final tipping point to bring this down to a 2 star rating. Surely others will have better luck than us, and the food (once it arrives) is really good, so it's still...

I have only tried Halifax once before at another place and loved it, so was looking forward to trying it again. But it seems a lot has changed since then. For example, they no longer give 5kr off if you make a burger vegetarian instead of meat. I thought that was a winner deal...but not anymore!

The vinegar chips previously were delightful and very flavourful. But here they were dry and not vinegary and the portion size has shrunk. Pity.

The Veggie pattie options have changed and out of the 2 options, they didn't have one available anyway.

It's not a cheap experience and for the portion size, don't think it's a great deal.

Went here for dinner in late October 2021 and sat in one of the bubbles outside. The temperature inside the bubble was surprisingly pleasant and it was possible to order and pay directly from your phone, without talking to the staff. We got burgers, a snack box, sweet potato fries and the loaded mash, then a couple of desserts. The main course arrived quickly and it was delicious, and I really liked that you have preset options, but you can also personalize the burgers. The desserts arrived quite late (about 25 min after ordering them) and had a bit too much cream for my taste. I would probably rate 5 if the overall dessert experience was not so...
