Sushi Izakaya was an impressive experience in most aspects.

Delicious food. Left us wishing we had more time to eat. No dessert options, which we felt lacked. (Or we just couldn’t find it) Good atmosphere, though the music could do with a mixup. Sounds like the same cd on repeat. Helpful staff, though they assumed we had been there before, so we were a little confused.

All in all a very enjoyable experience that we eventually plan to repeat.

Sushi Izakaya is an all you can eat concept with sushi and other Japanese style food. You’re handed a tablet from which you order what you want to eat and then you get 2 hours to enjoy the food. We didn’t know this, when we first sat down, so we were a little confused. The waitress probably picked up in this, so she came over and asked if she could help. I asked how this works, to which she started to explain how to use the tablet.

We tapped in our first few items and shortly after we were served some tasty edamame beans and a small variety of appetizers. It didn’t take long to get through that, so we quickly had to start up another order of items. Once again it came fairly soon after. A few more orders in and we had to start measuring what we’d be able to finish - since you pay extra for certain amounts of wasted foods. 2 hours went by pretty fast, but we left full of food and content - ready to try it again...

This restaurant stands out for its exceptional staff and service. During my visit, I accidentally ordered much more food than I could reasonably eat, but our waiter, Ella, handled the situation gracefully and canceled the excess order without charging us. Throughout the meal, she was attentive and supportive, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. To top it off, we received complimentary mochi, a thoughtful gesture that truly made us feel welcome. The warmth and professionalism of the staff turned a simple dinner into a genuinely memorable evening.

This place was recommended to us by a friend of ours. There were 6 of us and we showed up without reservations. The place was packed and the super friendly hostess let us know there would be a 90 min wait. We took it. Then she came outside where we were waiting to say they had found us a spot. They went above and beyond, pulled tables together, and dit it all with a smile. Best service we have had on our trip to Denmark so far. Huge menu, delicious food and very large beers. Don't be fooled by the strip-mall location....
