Was there today for a late lunch and the service we got was unfortunately not satisfying, although the food itself was good and the ambiente with dark wood was pleasing as well. But not worth the money for the service we got.
In short: Waitress didn't know about the drinks they have and ordering them took long and the food which was two cold plates, took significantly long to arrive + no attempt of ever assuring if we are satisfied with our food or service.
More detailed description: Apart from that there was some confusion about the beer they had there, the worst was that the food took significantly long to arrive. At first we were asking the waitress about a beer, she didn't know, so she went away to check; came back and said we could come to the bar and take a look at the variety of their offer there, then we were not being able to order there at the bar. We came back to the table, waitress came again, ordered, when coming again said it's not available although it was just seen at the bar, handing us a laminated sheet of paper with the current beers they have, finally ordered and also got the beer desired, no big deal, but confusing/ a bit long.
After we ordered the food (tatar and the 3 herring dish) and drinks (tea and a special beer) and also got our drinks, the cutlery was brought. Then we waited for the food to arrive. Meanwhile we could observe that two other people who came after us into the restaurant got their drinks and food served before us. These people also finished and were able to leave the restaurant while we just were able to start eating our dish. After ~ 40 minutes of wondering why two cold dishes which only need to be assembled and not even cooked, take so long to bring, we also observed that two people next to us also got the menu, and ordered just before we finally got our food. Shortly after we got our food served, at around 50 minutes waiting. The people next to us who just ordered before we got our food, also got their food served, which was significantly faster than us, and it seemed liked warm dishes, which needed preparation on the stove.
Observing that, and the fact that when the waitress came to ask if we were done with our food to take away the plates, did not even ask the standard question of: "Was everything alright with your food?", made the whole experience of eating food at Restaurant Bryggergården, a rather negative one and we left rather dissapointed after having paid. The beer which was on the receipt was also not the beer we ordered or drank. So maybe we even paid the wrong price for it. But as time was almost short for us to catch a train, due to the delay in ordering and getting the food, we did not had the time, energy or nerve to point that and the other things out. Furthermore they do not provide a possibility contact them written: No email nor feedback or contact formular on the website, which I considered before making a public review here on google.
So my conclusion is that although the food itself tasted good and the environment we sat in was nice, the visit at Restaurant Bryggergården was unfortunately not worth the time invested nor money for the bad and slow service we received, plus no written feedback possibility than a...
Read moreWe arrived at the restaraunt around 4:45. We were advised that the kitchen did not open for 15 minutes. The atmosphere is very cozy.
Within 10 minutes, we received 2 of 3 of our drinks. Then our appetizer arrived. Still no 3rd drink. After 30 miniatures finally attracted the waiter’s attention. He forgot our 3rd beverage.
It was over and hour and 15 minutes from the time we ordered til my husband got the attention of a different waiter to inquire about our dinner. The second waiter apologized and said it would be 3 minutes. 14 minutes later our food arrived.
The food was good. It was tasty, hot and the plating was lovely. Kudos to the kitchen.
Our original waiter never came back to check on us. No one ever asked if we needed anything else.
My husband and I are very patient. We use Google translate for the menus and have been in Europe long enough (5 years) to know that meals are slower. However, this was a blatant disregard of us as customers. We know our original waiter not only forgot our 3rd beverage, he forgot to put our main meal order into the kitchen. He was rude. Never apologized. Never saw him again.
Sorry the food pictures are not the best. I was hungry and forgot to take a picture before I started eating. Again, the...
