There are people who have a restaurant to make a living. And then there´s people like Guido. Rarely have I met such a passionate owner and chef who invests so much heart and soul into everything he does. You can tell (not only by the selection of fresh italian specialities he sells from the shop) that he is an expert who appreciates and honors all the ingredients he uses for the food he cooks. Also he truly seems to love and live what it means being a host for the people who come in. So about my first visit there today: I do not eat gluten and tried the gluten free pizza which was beyond words. I am used to explaining myself everywhere with that special need but here not only was everyone from the staff super professional and well informed, but Guido himself made me a special gluten free vegetarian sandwich for takeaway to provide for my onward journey the next day. I was there with three friends wich had regular Pizza and they also were amazed by the excellent quality. Speaking of quality: the salad I had as a starter was absolutely fresh and crisp.

We ordered an appetizer to share, three pizzas and a pasta dish. Luckily we got the appetizer quite fast but it only went downhill from there.
After 40 mins they brought two pizzas which turned out weren't ours.
15 mins later guests who showed up later started to receive their food while our was still nowhere to be found.
We asked the waiter if they could check on our food but they never came back with an answer.
After another 15 mins we still hadn't received our food and again asked the waiter to check our food without any result.
After yet another 15 mins most people had already had their food and were starting to leave when we finally got our food. No apology, not a sorry for the delay, nothing!
If you work in the service business the least you can do is admit you made a mistake and apologize but that level of service (or lack of) is simply not acceptable!

Read moreThe place looked nice inside but outside there was minimal cleaning, this resulted in sea gulls multiple times taking food off of plates where people had left. Most people left with plenty of food on their plate and i dont think its because the plates were over filled with food but rather the taste really wasnt that good. The table was reserved but they hadnt prepared for the amount (5) Half the staff seemed like they didnt care for the job, we shouldnt have reserved a table as there barely were anyone there at peak saturday lunch time but there was a group of loud men seemingly connected to the restourant. only the sandwich was decent which was a sandwich. either it was oily, salty or seemingly not salted at all.
