We went to Impuestos Internos and on the way downstairs we saw this little Cafe called KLO Kitchen & Market (de Don Emilio). SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!!! As we waited for a few minutes a gentleman brought us the menus. After waiting another 10 min or so. The cashier came to ask us if we wanted to get something to drink. We ordered 2 black coffees. My wife ordered an omlet and I ordered eggs over easy with bacon. As per the menu. Each order indicated that it came with tostadas. So I asked the cashier, who was taking our order since the waiter was not around, what type of bread they had for the tostadas and she gave us a couple options including croissants. We chose the croissants. I asker her how many eggs came with order since menu said "Eggs your style". She said one, so I ordered an extra egg.
When we got the meals my wife got her omelet with a croissant and I got a egg and bacon sandwich with an egg on the side that wasn't over easy. I asked the waitress/cashier why it was a sandwich and she said because thats how the cook made it.. All this time the heavy set woman that was in the opposite corner from us. Who I later found out that was the manager. Cared more about the music and her meal than the customers. While she heard our whole conversation with the cashier/waitress. We later got the bill and were charged extra for the croissants. The money was not an issue, because i paid total bill which included tips and taxes.
When I got up and asked the manager if she was in charge? She said yes. So I proceeded to asked her about the bill and the extra charges. She said that it was because the croissants were not part of the meal on menu. I asked her why we were told different and the menu did not specify? She said they would make the corrections on the menu and would let the staff know. It seemed like she was just telling me what I wanted to hear. Don't think anything will be done. The manager is supposed to be on top of everything. And it shows that she is not, by how the staff act. I have been a restaurant owner for over 15 years. Serving over 500 people on Sundays alone, at one of my restaurants. The food was good, the coffee is average. The cashier should be in charge because she was the only one that put any initiative to take care of the customers. Without customers there is no positions for a manager like that.

Read moreEstuve ahí la noche de mi cumpleaños. No fue nada memorable por culpa de la mala atención de la mesera. Primero nos recibió a la entrada preguntándonos si queríamos estar adentro o afuera y escogimos adentro del restaurante. Luego nadie nos atendía hasta que mi esposa fue a buscarla. Vino y nos dijo que a ella no le tocaba esa mesa sino a otra chica, pero que igual nos atendía. En fin nos dio los menús digitales y tuvimos que llamarla nuevamente para hacer el pedido. Pedimos dos sushi, una entrada y una pasta, junto a tres refrescos. El tiempo de espera fue normal y primero llegó con 2 de los platos, pero en ese momento no nos había puesto ni cubiertos, ni servilletas, ni había traído los refrescos, que suelen traerlos bien rápido. En fin nos trajo dos pares de cubiertos con una sola servilleta! Le pedimos más servilletas y los refrescos. Trajo los sushi que faltaban y nos preguntó si teníamos los palillos! Claro, no los había traído. Empezamos a comer pero aún no traían los refrescos, ni más servilletas. De pronto le pedimos a otro mesero que cruzaba y se sorprendió, nos trajo los refrescos muy rápidamente y las servilletas. En ese punto decidimos no tomar los tres refrescos sino solo dos, ya que estábamos a la mitad de los platos ya y aun no se habían abierto los refrescos. Al terminar de comer, pedí la cuenta y en esta incluyo el tercer refresco. La llamé y le dije, pero me respondió que una vez digitado no lo podía retirar. Le replique que buscase a quien debiera ser, pero no iba a pagar un refresco que no tome y que ni siquiera se abrió. Finalmente dio varias vueltas y volvió con la cuenta correcta. Pague, pero no deje propina adicional. La verdad un servicio de muy mala calidad, aunque lo comida estaba bien, esos detalles te dañan un momento que debería haber sido muy agradable con mucha facilidad. No creo que regrese, hoy en día los meseros suelen ser muy profesionales en la gran mayoría de restaurantes en Santiago, y prefiero buscar otro sitio luego de esta...

The waiter "wrote" all of our orders down however we were still missing half of the food ordered. We had to keep reminding the waiter about the missing food and he NEVER came once after the food came to ask us how everything was. I'm definitely not coming back.
