A RAT IN THE RESTAURANT!

This was an absolutely awful experience. I went for lunch with my parents and uncles; a group of six. From the moment we arrived, the staff’s attitude was anything but welcoming (except for the valet, who was actually super nice). After picking out our meats and ordering drinks, we sat down to wait… and that’s when a rat ran right by my feet, inside the dining area!!!

We tried not to cause a scene to avoid alarming other guests and quietly called a waiter over. It took three tries before someone finally came, and they just moved us to another table. At that point, I honestly wanted to leave. But my dad and uncle wanted to give the place a chance, maybe the service would improve, or at least the food would make up for it.

Spoiler alert: it didn’t.

The food was okay, not terrible, but far from impressive. Some cuts of meat tasted off, like they were this close to going bad. And the staff? Even worse than before. After switching tables, they started treating us in a super condescending way; whispering, laughing amongst themselves, clearly making fun of the situation.

We asked to speak to a manager or supervisor, supposedly no one was available. We then asked for whoever was next in charge, and the waitress told us three times that if we wanted to speak with her, we had to go to the counter ourselves. No apology, no assurance that they’d look into the rat issue, just excuses: “There are other places in the area,” “Anywhere there’s food, there are rats,” etc.

In the end, they brought us a complimentary dessert: a single portion, for a table of six, that nobody even touched.

The bill was nearly 8,000 pesos (about €120), and honestly? Not worth a single cent. Between the rat, the attitude, and the disappointing food, I only managed to eat three fried plantains and two chicken wings because the whole place had me feeling sick.

I absolutely do not recommend this place, and I’m definitely never going...

I would like to begin with saying that me and my family were expectant to indulge in the food provided. The options seemed generous and the atmosphere perfect for the conversations we expected to initiate. What we got however, was far from we expected.

I would like to say before I go into our perspectives on the food, that the Service was everything but spectacular. It did not exceed the bare minimum of our expectations. When we got our food, after a long period of time, it was not what we were hoping for. It was raw, chewy and unpleasant on the tongue. We hoped when the food returned to the kitchen, it would atleast give us a better experience. It did not. Food came out worse, hard and incredibly hard to chew. I would've had better luck with a rock.Even worse it was extremely overprice for such a horrendous meal.

Overall experience: 3/5 and that's being generous...

The service is very questionable. How come customers walk in through the main entrance and they're not greeted and seated by the staff? The waiters were just talking to each other and on their phone the entire time until a gentleman approached me minutes later and showed me the tables they had available. Yes, that was as recent as the afternoon of September 4th, 2023.

I've had a much better experience at much cheaper places. I strongly believe management should really look into their staff and make adjustments accordingly. The managers/owners should send a secret shopper (client) to evaluate the service provided by the staff. Was the food great? Yes. Would I ever come back?...
