Applebee's Downtown Center — Restaurant in Santo Domingo

The wings were delicious but the remainder of the food was okay. We ordered the fajitas mixed and it was a little bit disappointing. It was also extremely busy and we had to wait a while for a drinks and the food didn't come out together. The waiters and waitresses were running around like a chicken without a head and there was constantly lots of dishes left up on the serving area waiting for them to come. Some dishes out there for quite some time so the food wasn't always hot when it got to the table. They need to hire more staff, especially for weekend evenings. Previously I ordered the Fiesta lime chicken and it was terrible. The lemon taste was so overpowering I didn't even finish half of it.

UPDATED 7/4/23 It was fairly busy and sadly, they were understaffed and service was slow however, this is the first time in 9 years of living in this country that I got the perfectly cooked burger. They brought out four burgers to our table and all four were cooked perfectly and the meat tasted delicious. I've ordered burgers from here previously and asked for them to be medium rare but they always come out medium to well done which is very disappointing. Today however, whoever the cook was did a fantastic job! I noticed that the food expediter was in the kitchen cooking so I don't know if it was him but we were all very happy with the food. I hope that they will be able to continue cooking burgers like this because it was honestly the most enjoyable burger meal I've had in quite some time.

Now, if they could just get some more staff that would be great and it would also be wonderful if the waiter or waitress would come to the table and ask how things are or if we need anything instead of me having to try to flag down someone to get a drink because we ran out and no one came to check. Really great, the food court of downtown plaza have very good temperature beside that is the main issue with many malls in the island that this area is very hot and you dont feel the ac, in this restaurant you will be into separate space with excellent temperature, you have to decide if you want to be inside or in a outside area with is very good if you like to feel the life of the city, you have a see through glass to see the kitchen and admire how is being prepare your meals, something that i love is that we dont wait too much after we order something that is perfect is you arrive very hungry.

The staff is very polite and their have a green policy and have cart of water with a low percent of plastic, this place have a very exclusive target of customer and on the screen their play local soccer with is a very famous sport for the midle high class meaning with that you pay for quality, and dont worry about price their offer a variety of combo inside the menu that are very affordable.

My way to evaluate is to order a pina colada due to this a common drink into the carribean bar it will speak a lot about the taste and this was a very nice taste...

Applebee's es un negocio de restauración bien concebido que trasluce un esmerado cuidado y diseño en su decoración que logra transmitir calidez, confortabilidad y buen gusto. El personal, dedicado, atento, servicial y educado añade un valor humano extra al restaurante, produciendo una experiencia sensorial desde que accedes. Su ubicación estratégica suma puntos a su menú, joven, ecléctico y bien seleccionado con posibilidad para celebraciones multitudinarias o comer solo, acudir con niños o en pareja. Mantiene un aire sobresaliente y sofisticado, conjugando la elegancia con la sencillez de su ambiente. En cuanto a la comida probé los nachos con pollo, los cuales son presentados en una fina bandeja acompañados de guacamole, crema agria y pico de gallo. Ricos en sabor pero a mi gusto falto de especias, sobre todo el último de los acompañamientos. Como segundo me decanté por el Sirloin a la parrilla con cebolla caramelizada, una carne de calidad superior bien cocinada pero igualmente baja en sal. El pure de papas como acompañamiento añade un toque de personalidad, pero los vegetales al vapor se presentan en exceso crudos, en especial la zanahoria. Como salsa elegí la de hongos, la cual realza el sabor de la carne. Los jugos naturales lo son al 100%, destacando el limón frozen. En cuanto a los precios los considero algo elevados para un restaurante mixto abierto. La calidad incuestionable, y el servicio por igual. Sin duda regresaré a deleitar el paladar con alguna de las otras opciones que presentan en su menú digital, cuya calidad gráfica es otro de sus logros....
