El Corrido — Restaurant in Santo Domingo

Beautifully decorated and designed Restaurant. Of the three “El Corrido’s” I have been to this is the most beautiful restaurant. We were promptly seated, ordering was a little slow, food was prepared reasonably fast and drinks were extremely slow to arrive. The kitchen is inconsistent between the three locations! To be fair the staff was very courteous when they did attend to us but it was very puzzling how we requested our drinks multiple times and we didn’t receive them until 5 minutes after the food arrived! Two big things that the kitchen did that ruined the experience include 1 the did not chop up the Chicharron pieces. The other locations usually chop them up so you just get some crunch in your bites but here the Chicharron was so large that it felt like my tooth was going to break when I tried chewing. The second and for me the most important mistake is they don’t know how to roll the burrito here. Instead of a burrito it was more like a taco rolled. The problem is that when you attempt to eat the burrito that’s wide open on both ends everything is falling out everywhere! This is the only location that doesn’t know how to roll a burrito! The steak and the chicken were excellent and served hot and tender! A small side not is that here they have their hot sauce in a traditional bottle instead of a squeeze bottle like the other locations. The negative to this is when you unscrew the cap it sprays all over so be extremely careful and cover it with a napkin to protect your eyes and clothing when...

Went there for my 1st time on my 44th anniversary. The place is grand, beautiful paintings adorn the interior walls, bathrooms for Men and Women are separate, plenty of parking. And the food is great taste! Servers are very attentive, fast service on your orders, wonderfully made cocktails to your liking. And the Mariachi on Thusday night are fabulous. Muy mal servicio, duramos aproximadamente 30 minutos esperando que nos tomaran la orden, las camareras nos pasaban por el lado y no se dignaban en preguntar si ya nos tomaron la orden, al final tuve que parar una que estaba cerca de nuestra mesa y preguntarle si podía tomar la orden y dijo que esa mesa no es su área que eso lo le tocaba a otro, ya cuando nos estábamos por ir llegó la encargada y ella siendo encargada tuvo que tomar la orden, el lugar muy ruidoso la música muy alta, un karaoke la noche entera no se podía ni hablar entre uno mismo estando sentado al lado del otro, si buscas un bar o entrenamiento nocturno eso es lo que es ahí, no es restaurante más bien es un bar que sirven comida. Al final las chicas nos atendieron mejor porque vieron el disgusto en nuestra caras, pedi un taco de res y me sirvieron un taco mixto casi se me cae un diente con un pedazo de chicharrón más duro que la situación, en mi lista de dinero mal gastado pongo a este restaurante en el puesto número 2.
