Cake Cafe - Swan Lake Katameya — Restaurant in Cairo

I had the most appalling experience at Cake Cafe today, and I feel it’s important to share this to prevent others from facing the same disrespect and lack of professionalism.

When we arrived at the cafe, we were informed that children under 12 are not allowed. This was never communicated to us when we called to reserve and also its not written in their faqs in their instagram bio. My little sister, who was with us, was denied entry, and the manager’s attitude throughout the entire interaction was shockingly rude and disrespectful.

What’s worse is that while we were trying to reason with the manager, we witnessed another woman entering with a child. When we pointed this out, the manager dismissively claimed that the child was “a baby” because she was being carried. The cherry on top? He went on to say that if a child is an owner in the compound, they can enter. The logic here is baffling and reflects the sheer lack of consistency and professionalism in their policies.

This entire experience was beyond unpleasant. The blatant rudeness, double standards, and lack of accountability from the management are unacceptable. We left feeling deeply disrespected and will never return to this place again. Cake Cafe needs to seriously reevaluate how they treat their customers and ensure their policies are clearly communicated upfront.

I hope this review serves as a warning to others considering visiting. Your time and money are better...

After being a frequent customer for long time, i am being mistreated in Cake Cafe swan lake branch. I just got myself moving with my new born and thought to have a peaceful place to rest and have some coffee and breakfast and suddenly i was stopped at the cafe entrance stating no kids allowed under 12, so okk, you don’t want kids to miss around but what about a new born?!! They insisted to not taking me in, i told them i have photos with my friends in here and they were having their babies and that happened at least 4 times, they rudely said but Now it is a NO.!!!!! No logic, no respect, no where also they mentioned that piece of info on their pages, i had to go all that way as a tiered new mom and being mistreated with no mercy, even no chair to let me sit, they kept me in sun waiting for my friends just outside the cafe with my baby!! Knowing that the owner is a lady is shocking me to how she can let her places deal like that with other ladies!! I used to visit them very frequently but now i would never be a customer to such bad place, also non of my friends would do and i hope everybody caring for human beings and specially new mommies won’t ever go...

I'll go in details with the place in terms of Food as everything else is just perfect from Service to Environment to food presentations. But as it's a food cafes and specially Cake

So I ordered different type of Omlets.

Plain Omlet: was literally plain with no flavors in it. Didn't like.

Burito Omlet: it was good and kind of Tasty as it has Turkey in it.

Spanish Omlet: overage but comparing to the plain one it's tasty.

Falafel Platter: one of the main problem of this place is that it lacks lots of spices in the food, Falafel was good but not good enough and lacks lots of spices. Also the Tortilla doesn't really add any taste to the Flavorless Falafel.

Fool with White Cheese: Thought its a mix but it's literally Fool and White cheese with tomatoes as a side. Nothing new.

What really amazed me is the Carrot Cake and the Date cake with ice-cream and Caramel topping....Marevelous 😍
