I felt it in my heart whn the reviews were too shallow. This place is not worth at all. Food review: It is overpriced and doesnt offer any “japanese” food at all. I got a beef udon plate and i got a ridiculous italian pasta with creamy sauce, tomatoe pieces and green leaves. Wht was that??? The portion of the sushi rolls were very small The beef tenderloin was average.. could get it at sizzler better (and half price lol)

Atmosphere: Place was too noisy and crowded while the outdoors area was closed for no apparent good reason. So if ure coming here to sit in a nice atmosphere.. they dont have it.

Service: The waiter was nice. BUT THE STAFF AT THE FRONT (manager included) were complete idiots. They ruined the day for us actually. I had company with me, and we dressed normally in a smart casual manner for a date. They didnt want to allow us in because my partner wore long shorts! And the staff and the front desk had us “beg” to go in as per our reservation. Their website said nothing about shorts… and whn i called to confirm the reservation, no one mentioned it. This is plain stupid. I was turned off from dining in until my partner convinced me it is fine and we should try the place before making any statements. Absolutely ridiculous lol to be told u cant walk in bec ure wearing shorts?? There r not football shorts misters.

Overall...

Kazoku is a hidden gem in Heliopolis that won my heart instantly! 😍 The cozy and intimate setting provides a perfect backdrop for savoring authentic Japanese delights.

The service was impeccable, with the staff's friendliness and attentiveness making us feel like valued guests. 🤝

Their menu is a celebration of Japanese cuisine, offering a diverse selection of sushi, sashimi, and other delectable dishes. 🍽️ A haven for Japanese food lovers!

Food presentation was artful and Instagram-worthy - every dish looked like a work of art. 📸

Taste and flavor were on point, and the dishes transported us to the streets of Tokyo with every bite. 😋 Kazoku truly masters the art of Japanese cooking.

Portion sizes were just right, and the pricing was justified given the quality of the food and the enchanting atmosphere. 💰💖

Cleanliness and hygiene were well-maintained, ensuring a pleasant and comfortable dining experience. 👌

Kazoku's location in Heliopolis is convenient, and there's ample parking space available nearby. 🚗

Special highlights include their signature sushi rolls - a delightful fusion of flavors that left us craving for more! 🍣🤤

Kazoku in Heliopolis is a culinary journey to Japan, and I can't wait to return for more gastronomic...

Overall it's not so bad. However I dont understand what's all the fuss about. If you ask around the answers and expressions you get will make you think it's an out of this world experience while in fact it's just a normal restaurant. 1- they stress a lot about the dress code. In fact the called me 2 times and sent me a message all in the course of 24hr. Dress code is semi formal or smart casual they say 😏. Well when we got there half of the ppl were un Jean's and tshirts. What a surprise. 2- dinner service is at 7.00pm or 10.00pm. We were booked for 10.00 and they insisted that we will not be allowed in if we arrive late. Well guess what, some ppl were arriving at 12.00 and their seats were waiting 🙄 3 - the food is nice, well presented, and clean. Note: the fresh juice is not fresh 🤫 4- the waiters are very attentive 5- over priced by a MILE OUT

And before I forget EXTREMELY LOUD

Conclusion.

If you are a group of friends that enjoy dressing up, show off for paying more, and want a loud crowd. Then this is definitely your spot.

If you are looking for a quiet or romantic dinner...

Kazoku is a Japanese word that means Family. Founded by the Baky Hospitality company, you'd have high expectations for this place, and it does meet every single one. For reference, we ordered Wagyu roll, beef tenderloin, 5 spice chicken and a Philadelphia roll. All the food was great, the Wagyu roll is immaculate. The service is second to none. It is very expensive, you'd be looking at 800+ EGP per person, or around 40$+ for a basic drink and a main course. The atmosphere is great, the lighting is good, and you'd come here for anything from a birthday to an anniversary to s business dinner or just to catch a quick drink with a friend. It's worthy of mention that Kazoku's sister restaurant, SACHI, is of the same class but offers more variety.

The place is absolutely lovely wither u sit indoors or outdoors Appetisers here were really good, chicken dumplings with tamarind sauce was really special Main dishes were good ,but nothing insanely over the top I came for my husband’s birthday and they were really nice and managed to add a candle and write something on the dessert But expect a very hefty bill for an appetiser, main, dessert and drink it was 3k+ per person If you’re coming here be careful to follow the maps guide to the main gate as they won’t let u in, you’ll find a small door on the side of the compound and that’s where you enter It took us 15 mins to go all around which was pretty annoying Lovely experience though

Kazoku at Swan Lake is hands down one of the most authentic Japanese dining experiences in Cairo. The atmosphere is top notch with excellent vibes and beautifully arranged outdoor seating that’s perfect for a chilled evening. The food quality, presentation, and service are all exceptional. It’s definitely a must-visit if you enjoy premium Japanese cuisine. Just a heads-up: if it's your first time, don't follow Google Maps directly—it takes you to the main compound gate, which isn't the correct entrance for the restaurant. Ask security for directions to Kazoku’s entrance. Overall, an amazing place, but keep in mind—it’s not cheap. Worth it for a special night out.
