Kohvik Barracuda — Restaurant in Narva-Jõesuu linn

Entering the cafe, customers are met with a nicely but a bit emptyly furnitured hall with a cozy atmosphere. There is also a nice, clean restroom (Note: Diners get to use the restroom for free, Non-costumers have to pay 2€). Music was mainly blasted in english. Menus were 2-sided, one side was in estonian and the other one was in russian.

The cashier/worker spoke estonian and russian. We had a bit of a language barrier issue, but made ourselves clear, got everything we needed. She was nice too :)

I dined in the outside area with four other people. Two people ordered a schnitzel meal, which was good quality. One person ordered a fish meal, and they rated the fish also as good quality. Someone ordered the chicken barbeque meal which took a long time to make, but it was flavorful and was rated okay. I ordered cheese-ham filling pancakes. They were very tasty and high quality.

Overall, the food was delicious and fairly priced. The environment was modest and clean. It is a very accessible place and seems to be family friendly too.

Visited Barracuda with wifey by recommendation. It lies a bit off the beaten track, in an undeveloped patch of the forest in Narva-Jõesuu. The exterior doesn't really feel inviting, and once inside the interior could also maybe get an upgrade/re-work. But then again, don't change it! Keep it as is, it feels like you travelled back in time to 1991 when Estonia was re-established and young entrepreneurs entered the restaurant scene.

The staff seems to be all family members, warmhearted and service oriented. Smiling and laughing when they didn't find the english word for some ingredient.

Well, to the food... it's a gem. Tried 4 different dishes over 2 days and already now I know I will come back. The pancakes...

Ничего хорошего про это заведение сказать не могу. Разные дни бывают, загруженность работников, но я посещала это место не один раз, и каждый раз все «лучше» впечатление об этом кафе-баре. Большинство (или все) блюда, которые готовятся во фритюре, делаются в одном масле, которое чувствуется будто его не меняют неделями. Коктейли персонал делать вообще не умеет, зачем добавлять в Ваше меню то, что бармен не может сделать? Супы это вообще отдельная история, особенно фирменный. 👎 Персонал добил максимально. Одна из официанток настолько некомпетентна и невежлива, что делать заказ было невыносимо. С таким взглядом на окружающих ей явно надо работать не в подобном заведении (если это место можно...
