As residents of Tallinn, we tend to forget the rest of Estonia exists. After discovering Sarvik, I am convinced such obliviousness is a crime worthy of punishment. Thinking back on my culinary life experience I am hard pressed to recall the last time I had a steak as good as the 18 euro tenderloin at Sarvik. To quote a legend of foot critique, the meat quite literally melted in my mouth - perfectly seasoned, perfectly chosen and prepared cut of meat. The currant sauce that goes with it could easily be bottled up and sold. Is it bottled up and sold? Because if yes, I want in on that action. As an aside, the sirloins looked good too and my wife's fish was prepared well, though I do not think I could bring myself to order anything other than the tenderloin during future visits, which I am certain shall not be too far into the future. Read moreThat restaurant is a bbq place i orderd a medium beef ternderlain. Just the cord was light pink 80% off the meat was grey. I sended it back and after 30 min they come with another one... Exactly the same 80% was grey and 20 % was slightly pink. I told them again that this isnt medium the se rvent then ask iff i would talk to the chef? Yes plz! I asked him several time iff he consider this medium... He didnt awnser he told me it was cooked with a termometer... Hmmm yea well after a while off argument they told me to pay for my beer and leave.... They dont know anuthabout the right steak grade... The chef need to learn the proper colour and temp off the meat he handle. Unfortunately i didnt took a pic off the meat they served me...The maid that was on service told me that she thinks its raw!!!!! Hahaha raw no iff just the cord is slightly pink no juice and rest 80% is grey no its not raw its not even medium....Learn to read the colour and temp..Or change...
Read moreVisited twice. First time - waited 15 minutes just to get a menu. After another 10min a lady explained that we will need to wait 1 hour to get a food. Moved to the nearby Virma restaurant. Next evening decided to give another try - ok, food will be in 20min, but the service... If you get menu's in 10min after sitting down -you are lucky.
