I was really looking forward to dining here, but the experience was disappointing. The location is quite small, which fits the name "Little Italy," but the photos online make it look much larger and more inviting than it actually is.
Service left a lot to be desired. My girlfriend and I ordered lasagna and tortellini. She took one bite of the lasagna, didn’t like it, and they still charged us for it. My tortellini was too soupy and lacked flavor. For the price, the food felt mediocre and overpriced. After paying for our meal, it took forever to get the receipt, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. When I asked for it, the staff questioned if I had even paid, which felt disrespectful and unnecessary.
Later, while staying at a hotel next door, we ordered wine from the restaurant. My girlfriend accidentally broke the glass before drinking any, so we called within 10 minutes and explained the situation. We also spoke to the server in person, who promised a replacement but never returned.
Overall, the combination of underwhelming food, poor service, and unprofessional treatment made this a disappointing experience. I wouldn’t...
Read moreI was in Addis Ababa on business and kept seeing this family restaurant pop up on social media. Never had Italian food outside of Piazza. I went to the Little Italy,Sarbet location, 5th floor of Elita apartments. The spiral staircase, coffee bar, deep red ambience, and signs and symbols of Italy in every corner, stunning aesthetics (sit under the Venice sign)!!! Rediet our server was so engaging, professional, and personable.
I ordered the rich, creamy, Pollo Alla Piastra Con Crema E Pesto with spinach garlic as a side and a red wine, perfect🤌🏼!! The star was the Tiramisu, light, decadent, and mildly sweet and somehow got better after each bite. Versatile enough for date night, family, or birthdays and I saw all three that night. This is my new go2 for everything Italian and truthfully if the quality stays this consistent I see this becoming an iconic restaurant in Addis in less...
