Sichuan Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Addis Ababa

It was my first time visiting and the food was delicious. I went with my family and we were seated right away (we came a bit earlier that the opening time at 6pm) 🎶 The music was calming and not to loud, it added to the atmosphere. We ordered dumplings, sweet and sour chicken Mapo Tofu, orange chicken rice and nuddels with vegetable. It didn't take long for the dumplings to come out with an array of sauces, which paired well with the dumplings🥟. The dough was a bit thick for my taste, however they still hit the spot. The other dishes came quickly after. The Mapo Tofu was the best.😋 It was numbing and had it's own taste. It was my first time trying this dish and I quit enjoin it. The orange chicken, however wasn't to my liking. It was too bitter and sweet. I do recommend the other dishes, however the Mapo Tofu was the best!!! The tea we ordered was a bit expensive for how bland it tasted.🍵 From the start there were candels on the table and while I was dinning there was an electrical outage. Which slightly confused me and through the atmosphere off. 🤵🏾‍♀️🤵🏾‍♂️The servers were very nice and helped us with the menu options, as well as light the candels when the lights went off. I will 100% eat here again, but maybe...

We ordered two soups, were good. As a starter they offered for free two rolls. As main course, we ordered a chicken based dish, 225 ETB..not cheap so I was expecting a delicious and decent quantity of clean/clear chicken...But...What we found was a scrambled small dish with so few meat...maybe 100gr or even less..and even more, it was very difficult to know whether was chicken or other thing since it was so thin and coated.. As finished this "big meal" the personnel, who is really kind indeed, asked us if we were full and as my answer was NO, they tried to compensate with a noodle dish...that's not the solution ( only good to fill the stomach but also was anodine..). To wrap up, not so good quality and very expensive (Notice also we paid 595ETB for a bottle of vine....european price and 50% more than other places in Ethiopia)... I was disappointed..considering that score of this restaurant was 4'5... I hope my comment is useful and help you to implement...

I googled for Chinese restaurant and found this place. I called the number on the website and was directly connected to the Chef. I was looking to see if they had a lobster and the Chef took the trouble of searching for and buying it. I was really impressed because I had tried another Chinese restaurant and was simply told that they didn't have it. On arrival, we were warmly welcomed and a table was also reserved for us. And we were served with very delicious soup and tasty spring rolls for the appetizer and sizzling chicken and a delicious lobster for the main course. I recommend this place for all habesha folks who dare not try other dishes to try it. You won't go wrong with it. Thank you Chef Neba! I appreciate the service you gave us tonight.
