Snowy House Dessert Cafe — Restaurant in Central

We visited Snowy House on an unexpected trip to Suva and what a treat it was! I travelled by myself with five kids and those who have kids know that sometimes it is quite challenging, when eating out, to find food that pleases everyone, including a fussy 3.5yo. Walking into the cafe, was a pleasant relief from heat and humidity. We were greeted by a lovely hostess, who quickly found us a place to sit down. Everything on the menu sounded so apealing and, oh what a great surprise it was, when ALL FIVE OF MY KIDS found something to order!!! We were looked after really well, meals arrived quickly and were so fresh and yummy! But of course, a piece de resistance was a pancake bear for my youngest girl that blew her socks off! I recently dined at Snowy House and Grace Road Kitchen, and my experience was quite varied. Grace Road Kitchen, known for its savory dishes, delivered on all fronts. The food was excellent, flavorful, and well-prepared, making it a standout part of my visit. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite and would definitely recommend their meals.

However, the dessert experience at Snowy House was less satisfying. I ordered the chocolate waffles, expecting a delightful treat. Unfortunately, the waffles were very thick, lacked proper presentation, and felt low quality. The texture and taste were not up to par, leading me to leave my dessert unfinished.
