No visit to Suva Fiji would be complete without a visit to Tikos. Upon arrival to the restaurant you are just drawn to the beauty of the vessel and once onboard you are greeted with a friendly smile and welcome. The restaurant is clean and well presented, with windows open for fresh air and a beautiful place to eat and watch the harbour in a relaxing atmosphere. The service was friendly and prompt. With amazing menu items and salad bar that you can help yourself too. The food is presented beautifully, fresh and tasty and the value for money is well worth it. I ordered the Surf and Sand and immediately regretted not just getting the grilled fish by itself. The grilled lobster was overcooked and really tough to chew and cut. The grilled snapper on the other hand was absolutely delicious. I also had the Tropical Fruit Punch mocktail which was very bland and barely sweet. My friend had the steak and said that it was very tough and hard to chew. The salad bar however had a variety of options and everything there was delicious. All in all, I highly recommend the grilled fish and avoiding anything other than seafood here. Despite the disappointing food, the staff were very kind and the atmosphere was wonderful. Our group of 6 couples went out to eat at Tikos on a rainy Saturday evening. We made reservations earlier in the week. We sent in our dinner requests, in one email, on Thursday evening. At the restaurant, all of our food was delivered over the course of about 5-10 minutes, which was the best experience of having food arrive together since we've been in Fiji (2 months.) I had the Chili Garlic Shrimp and my wife had the BBQed Tuna. The food was tasty. The service was good. The employees were helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was nice. The prices were fairly reasonable. There was some minor motion with the boat rocking gently. We plan to go back again...
