One of the best dinning experiences I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Let's start with the meals as a chef I was so delighted to indulge in this mouth watering journey OMG!! I was lucky to visit this lovely place twice so I had a large part of the menu from the surf and turf burger, shrimp enchiladas, nachos, chicken wings, seafood pot which is fisherman basket, garlic butter mud craband fish tacos🤤🤤🤤all amazing at one point I made a small portion of loaded fries with my left over mud crab and garlic butter. I have never salivated the way I did when I was eating this amazing food.... And all this was topped with the most loveliest of customer service I've had ever experienced, as I'm from Sydney wow did I have a wonderful eye opening customerservice from this lovely people so helpful so friendly and so polite and dedicated to their jobs, people like this are one in a billion. And as if this wasn't enough the location was in the pocket of paradise where if you time your dinner well you would be rewarded with the best gift any satisfied customer could ask and it would be that sunset after your meal...nothing else to say about the lovely crabshack than 1000/10 truly a magnificent experience 😊🤤🤤🤤my mouth still waters whenever I see...
Read moreVisited this place again to give it a 2nd try.
Honestly- the first time I came here was almost 2 years ago. My partner and I visited during sunset and ordered a mudcrab, and we had a horrible experience because there were FLIES EVERYWHERE!
But since everyone kept talking about this place, we decided to give it a 2nd go!
This time around, we went at night around 8pm- and it was nice! There were no flies around.
We ordered the bu salad - the grilled Prawns on it were really nice, but the salad itself wasn't too impressive - just some cucumber/ tomatoes with mayo and some spring onion.
The green mussels boil was delicious! 34 dollars for 8 of them with a side of your choice.
We ordered the fiji curry mud crab. We were expecting it to be like a local Kekra surwa kind with a lot of haldi and masala, but it was very toned down creamy curry. It was still nice! I think those people who can't take spice will be able to eat it.
Overall, the 2nd time around was more pleasant. We spent a total of 140 FJD here for the 3 dishes- so prices are a bit on the higher end.
It's an outdoor restaurant - Recommend not to go when it is raining. They have sheds, but the rain will still come in...
Read moreWe had read the reviews of The Crab Shack and decided to check it out for ourselves. We were greeted by Olivia when we arrived and she was both attentive and very welcoming. We had the mud crab with Fijian curry and it was absolutely delicious. We had booked a table for 7.30, but didn't realise that the shack closed at 9 and at the end of our dinner, we were the last patrons there. Our taxi hadn't made an appearance and Olivia kindly rang him on her phone for us. Even though we were the last to leave, we were never made to feel that we had to vacate the premises. Since the food and service were outstanding, we decided to have dinner there again tonight. Mud crab with garlic and chilli and we had banana fritters and ice cream to finish the meal. Can highly recommend The Crab Shack for their mud crabs. There were a lot of patrons there too, so although I cannot comment on the other menu items, the patronage speaks for itself. Well done, staff ( and especially Olivia) at Crab Shack!! The grassy knoll where the benches are placed are right next to the beach on higher ground and the sunsets there are spectacular. Would definitely go there again when we are staying at the...
