I have heard of this restaurant from a friend from Fiji, saying we should go there when we visit Fiji again, I was so excited. I went there with a friend, we arrived very early at 6:15pm, they opens at 6pm, we order our tepanyaki set,we sat at the tepanyaki table upstairs, it was a share table of 6, the chef cook infront of the customers, they cook on the hot plate like our BBQ. There is this NZ accent old fat couple, who sat down probably 20 mins after us, started yelling and complaining to the chef about the smoke, the food is cool for us, the smoke shouldn’t go to them? that weird NZ couple stood up and move to the table behind the chef, they were so rude, the chef felt bad and apologies to me and my friend, I smiled back to chef, showing him it’s ok. That lady start yelling at me saying: ‘Don’t laugh. I saw you laugh, you think I didn’t see it?’ Somehow this made me so angry. I don’t know smiling is illegal in Fiji. This ruined my dinner. My friend stopped me of being angry. I don’t know what to say. I though New Zealander are mean to be polite. Somehow this couple has put a very bad impression in my head. The customer service quickly came to me and pouring hot tea and showing me smile and back facing that couple, in case that lady started getting angry with everyone. I tried my best to finish this meal without thinking too much. We went to the counter. The customer keep on apologies to us. I don’t know what’s wrong with that customer, but at least the restaurant staff handled it quite well.

W O W ! Highly recommend the food off the Teppanyaki grill upstairs. We love Japanese food / teppanyaki, so have eaten at a range of quality restaurants across the world, including in Tokyo. We were here May 2019, off peak season, on a Monday nite... had the seafood supreme, beef, chicken, pork and fried rice courses from the menu and all were quality produce, cooked perfectly and accompanied by matched sauces. The Yum Yum sauce with the scallops was a standout! Staff are friendly and attentive, our chef was a ‘trainee’ but really delivered the menu for us, so we didn’t mind that the usual ‘theatrics’ with a Teppanyaki restaurant were ‘light’. Good ambience inside, easily the best meal we’ve had in our 6 days in Nadi so far.

We had the Supreme Seafood Combination Teppan-Yaki meal. When we were there, they were out of lobster, so they offered to replace the lobster with 10 extra shrimp/Prawns. We accepted. As we really enjoy seafood, this meal was fantastic - including the Sashimi and salad served with it as a Starter. Everything was very tasty and expertly cooked. Although, we might recommend that you request not to smother the shrimp in the sauce to get the best flavor. Ours was very much bathed in the sauce. Despite that fact, it was still delicious! We find amazing places and write about them for EatWanderExplore.

Called twice, asked them if I could take a large group of 32 people. One of the staff, a lady, said they can't do reservations, but show up before opening time, 6pm, 5.45pm and it will be ok.

So we did that, and when we arrived, they said they couldn't take us because they didn't have enough cooks. and a Japanese staff member/owner? kept pointing at a sign saying they don't do group bookings. Kinda makes sense to say that on the phone to your customer before they show up, instead of telling them the wrong thing and asking them to just show up. Then after a good deal of time asking him why we weren't told this in the first place, he says the staff are...
