On the plus side the staff were friendly and the decor is nice. Ultimately it's a restaurant and the one thing you want them to do well is cook great food ; on that front it was a large let down. For a local restaurant the prices are around 20% higher than what you'd pay elsewhere , which you don't mind paying for quality. They say they use no MSG , fresh ingredients etc. I ordered a Thai chicken and veggies dish that I ended up not finishing ; it was a horrible ; the veggies were fresh and the chicken a bit dry but not so bad , however the meal was drowned in something that I can only describe as weird sort of powdery tomato tasting sweet sticky Chinese sauce that surely must have come from a bottle or packet . The meal didn't resemble anything remotely Thai tasting. Rather than getting a typical light healthy Thai meal , I felt like I was eating a microwaved processed TV dinner. To top it off there was no nice - how does an Asian restaurant run out of rice , instead I got a luke warm chewy naan that tasted like it was made earlier in the day. I was so looking forward to eating here and after Covid you want local restaurants to do well. Food is great taste and great and good quantity. Must try their tandoori chicken. Ambiance is open area with fres air and indoor sitting as well. Located on main road so no issues for parking.
