Super nasty and upsetting experience in Fiji. My husband and I arrived at the restaurant around 12:40 and after ordering was around 1pm, we waited peacefully at first as I understand that the food we ordered, fish and crab, gonna take time to clean and cook. However after 40minutes, as I saw that guests in other tables who arrived much later than us got served already (when we arrived only one table and after 40minutes around 10tables) all tables got served even one dish except us. I asked the restaurant staff to check how long as it's been one hour, first time she came back saying 5minutes, and after 10minutes I asked her to check again, she now came back to me saying 15minutes, we've already waited for one hour and I said if it was that long we gonna need to cancel, I thought the lady went back to chase however she came back and told us it's already cancelled.
She sounds like nothing wrong with us and we've waited for over one hour for nothing!!!!!! No excuse, no apology. Never expecting fiji as a popular traveller destination can do this to customers.
Worst worst experience ever and I feel shame for the owner who provides such customer service to travellers. We did get what we ordered at 3pm when all guests already left and i paid for unreasonable price still. I would have stayed for police intervention if not the flight on that day.

Authentic Canton-style dishes here made by Chinese cooks in a banquet decor — easily my best dinner in Fiji. Highly recommended for any tourists who want to try Chinese seafood here!!
The food (in particular seafood, fresh and locally sourced) tasted absolutely impeccable — comparable to the good ones in Sydney (like Marigold).
Servers were friendly and attentive. Food was served promptly after ordering (within 30min), which’s a surprise considering up to 2 hrs of wait typical even for 4/5-star resorts in Fiji.
Some local diners were there too as I was there.
Fair prices for the quality (even though the setting may appear more upscale).
Kudos to Ken Liu and his wife who’s been running this place for 12 years, hiring cooks from China, and surviving through the tough Covid period. A pleasant conversation with them about their story.
